Alvis OMC is South Africa’s primary military vehicles facility, based in Benoni, near Johannesburg. Alvis OMC covers all disciplines of the military vehicle spectrum from conceptualisation, through design and development, manufacture and production and in-service support. Specialising in mine protection, Alvis OMC produces heavy and light armoured vehicles, in tracked and wheeled configurations with an international customer base covering over 20 countries. Alvis OMC products include the RG range, Rooikat, Kobra, G6, Casspir and Wasp.

Part of the Alvis Group, Alvis OMC was formed in 2002 and is one of the trading divisions of Alvis South Africa (Pty) Limited.

Founded in Sweden over 100 years ago and now part of the Alvis Group, Alvis Hägglunds manufacturers the famous Bv family of all-terrain, load-carrying vehicles. Over 11,000 Bv206 vehicles have been sold in over 40 countries. The armoured Bv206S provides additional protection, whilst the new armoured BvS10 has improved load capacity and performance.

Another successful Alvis Hägglunds product is the CV90 range of modern armoured fighting vehicles, available in many variants, including the CV90120-T tank.

With joint venture Finnish partner, Patria Hägglunds, the new AMOS turreted twin barrel smoothbore 120mm mortar system has been developed a wide range of light armoured vehicles
