23 May 25. Many congratulations to Chelsea Pensioner Patrick Cody of the Royal Hospital who once again won First Prize in the Royal Hospital Garden Allotment Competition at the 2025 Chelsea Flower Show. Patrick is a friend of Harkness Roses. Here was recently photographed in his garden on the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings, showing his beautiful Remembrance rose planted in one of his 3 rose plots in the grounds of Royal Hospital Chelsea. An avid rose enthusiast, Patrick is often found in his garden tending to his collection of Harkness roses with utmost devotion and care. Patrick has an abundance of Harkness roses in his garden, all so lovingly nurtured: ‘Ena Harkness’, ‘Chandos Beauty’, ‘Claire Marshall’, ‘Guys Gold’, ‘Remembrance’, ‘Chelsea Pensioner’, to name a few.
