SSAFA – Lets make a difference this Christmas!
2020 has undoubtedly been a challenge for many of us, living with the lockdown. But isolation is a very different experience for an elderly veteran, a family under pressure or those with mental health issues – here at SSAFA we have seen an 80% increase in calls from people looking for requests for befriending – and that’s why our 12 ways to make a difference challenge is so important right now, to give the gift of hope.
From 11 to 22 December, you can help us combat isolation and loneliness within our Armed Forces community by doing a simple act of kindness.
To get you started, we have provided 12 examples of ways you can help in our handy 12 ways of kindness guide.

You can choose to do any number of the activities, the more the merrier!
HOW TO TAKE PART
Joining in is easy! All you need to do is:
1.Choose a fundraising target of either £25, £50, or £150 to work towards.
- Ask your family, friends, and wider community to sponsor you.
- Open a Just Giving page or Facebook Fundraising page.
- Keep everyone updated with stories, pictures, and videos of your 12 Days of Kindness journey on your Just Giving and social media pages to keep the random acts of kindness train moving! ??
The smallest act will make a difference, and together you can help SSAFA support those in need in our Armed Forces community this Christmas. This is why it is important to share your challenge with all your friends and family! Whether on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or whichever platform you use, please share this vision using #SSAFA12Days.

ExFor+ CIC is a relatively new organisation but has been established with the objective of becoming a National overarching organisation within the Veterans Support Sector. Our aim is to bring about, positive Social and Economic change for the country as well as a significant
transformation of how Service leavers, Veterans, their families and communities are supported. We will do this through effective collaboration, communication and management of a number of services and departments, ranging from engaging with Government, The Third sector and also the supporters of, those who’ve served and often sacrificed so much for their country. We are currently supporting a number of service leavers and veterans with a range of issues ranging from housing, unemployment, benefits, personal development, education, and are constantly looking for employers who see the positives in recruiting and supporting individuals in to work to create longterm and sustainable futures.
