10 Jan 24. Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) 2024 application process now open. The Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) for 2024 has commenced its application phase starting 9 January 2024. The Expression of Interest (EOI) window opened on 1 December, inviting Bronze holders to submit their interest for advancing to the Silver, and Silver holders to advance to Gold levels in the upcoming year. The application period for both Silver and Gold ERS awards is now active. The ERS awards are instrumental in enhancing private, public and third sector support for defence people, as well as recognising the contributions of qualifying public sector organisations. The application deadlines are 17 April 2024 for Silver and 13 March 2024 for Gold. Applicants are advised to contact their Regional Employer Engagement Directors (REEDs) or National Account Managers (NAMs) for assistance in the application process. More details about the Defence ERS can be found here: Defence Employer Recognition Scheme If you are not already in touch with your Regional Employer Engagement Director, follow this link to find one in your region: Regional employer engagement contacts

SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, has been providing lifelong support to our Forces and their families since 1885. In 2020, our teams of volunteers and employees helped more than 79,000 people in need, the currently serving (both regulars and reserves), veterans from the Second World War and those who have served in more recent conflicts, as well as their families. SSAFA understands that behind every uniform is a person. And we are here for that person – any time they need us, in any way they need us, for as long as they need us.
