9 Aug 02. Saab Bofors Dynamics, a unit of Sweden’s Saab AB (Stockholm:SAA.ST – News; S.SAA), and Taurus Systems GmbH have received an order worth around EUR570m from the German Air Force to supply 600 long-range aircraft missiles, Saab said Friday.
Saab Bofors Dynamics will supply missile components and sub-systems. Its share of the contract is worth around SEK500m or EUR53.9m.
Deliveries of the KEPD 350 missiles will begin in 2004 and are expected to continue for about five years. Taurus Systems is jointly owned by EADS-LFK and Saab Bofors Dynamics.
Saab AB’s single largest shareholder is BAE Systems PLC (London:BA.L – News; U.BA).
