14 Apr 15. Poland – Military unit requires Night Vision goggles. A Polish Army regional unit has issued a tender for the procurement of night vision sights and binoculars.
The exact requirement is for:
• Image intensifier night vision goggles PNL, PNL-2A, MU-3, 3A, 3AD, and night vision rifle PCS-5, PCS-6.
• Image intensifier night vision binoculars NPL-1M, NPL-2.
Each of the requirements contains multiple variants.

13 Apr 15. India – Army requires Low Level Radar. The Indian Army has issued a request for information for the potential procurement of Low Level Light Weight Radar Mark-ll. The procurement is currently at a very nascent stage with the RFI response sheet being very broad. No further information about estimated budget nor quantity has been made available. The RFI questionnaire can be downloaded directly from the Army tender website or availed from the MPI team upon request.

02 Apr 15. Lithuania – Border surveillance system required. State Border Guard Service is looking to procure a surveillance system for the border strip near the Nemunas River. The tender is for 1x control and remote monitoring centre, and 4x surveillance towers. The tender includes the design, delivery, installation and connection of the system, along with any construction work and staff training. All tender responses must be submitted in Lithuanian.

13 Apr 15. Canada – Radar support services needed. Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) is looking to sign a contract for the provision of technical support services for radar systems and signal processing on an as-needed basis to the Tactical Radar (TR) group of the Radar Sensing & Exploitation (RSE) section. The services would include (non-exhaustively): concept development, system design, system build, system integration, system test, system operation, signal processing development, and data analysis. According to the notice, research tasks include:
• a) Technical Investigations and Engineering Studies directed towards improving the performance of existing facilities.
• b) Scientific Studies directed at improving the performance of radar systems and radar systems operating in concert with other systems with a view towards generating new capabilities.
• c) Systems Development and Integration of radar subsystems or radar integrated with other systems and sensors including design, development and documentation of systems (hardware and software).
• d) Software Development which could include design, development and documenting original computer code for stand-alone applications in C, C++ and Matlab to support research into radar signal processing.
• e) Test, repair and update of software and hardware including performance testing, troubleshooting, and repair either on-site at DRDC Ottawa, on the test aircraft which is located at the Ottawa International
Airport, or, when possible, at the contractor’s facilities.
• f) Field Trials to participate in the collection of radar data.
• g) Data preparation and processing of new and archived SAR data into imagery. Test and comparison of different versions of signal processors against existing and new data, preparation of data and software for dissemination to third parties, and archiving raw and image data in databases.
