PARLIAMENTARY QUESTIONS
Sep 07. NATO: Committee Inquiry. The Defence Committee is conducting an Inquiry into The Future of NATO and European Defence. The Inquiry expects to be “a comprehensive analysis of the Atlantic Alliance….and whether NATO has a viable, long-term future”.
Comment: The Inquiry’s first evidence session was held on 19 Jun 07 and a transcript is available on the Committee’s website (www.parliament.uk/defcom). The next evidence session is due to be held on 9 Oct 07 but, meanwhile, the Committee’s Clerk is still accepting written submissions (Committee Office, House of Commons, London SW1A 0AA). Sep 07. European Union (EU): Committee Inquiry. As part of its Inquiry into Developments in the EU the Foreign Affairs Committee is to hold an oral evidence session at 14.30hrs on Wed 12 Sep 07 in the Grimond Room at Portcullis House. The Minister of State for Europe and FCO officials are to give evidence.
