Mar 07. Parliament: Budget Day. HM Treasury has announced that the Chancellor will make his Budget Statement on 21 Mar 07.
Comment: Future expenditure plans are not likely to be revealed until the Chancellor presents his next Comprehensive Spending Review (CSR). The CSR is expected in July but may be delayed until October 2007. (Source: DNA DEFENCE NEWS ANALYSIS, Issue 0710, 05 Mar 07)

The Future of the UK’s Strategic Nuclear Deterrent: the White Paper. The Defence Committee will be publishing its Ninth Report of Session 2006-07, The Future of the UK’s Strategic Nuclear Deterrent: the White Paper, HC 225-I, on Wednesday 7 March at 00.01 am, with embargoed copies available from Monday 5 March at 11.00 am. The work of the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory and the funding of defence research.
