OXLEY Inc. WINS IMPORTANT EA-6B PROWLER UPGRADE CONTRACT

Oxley Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Oxley Group plc, the international defence electronics specialist, announced at Farnborough the award of a contract for 134 ship sets of NVG friendly external lighting systems for the U.S. Navy’s EA-6B Prowler aircraft. The contract is worth in excess of $1.6 million. Oxley is exhibiting on NWAA Hall 1 Stand No D-11 at Farnborough.
The contract is for a complete suite of NVG friendly LED technology lighting systems and IR formation lights. The systems will be supplied from the Oxley plant in Connecticut and delivered to the U.S. navy base at Patuexent River where they will be installed.
Martin Sloan, Chief Executive Officer of Oxley Inc. said, “We are delighted to have been selected by the U.S. Navy for this important programme. It recognises Oxley’s expertise in the supply of complete NVG friendly lighting systems. We are also supplying parts for the cockpit upgrade suite to the aircraft and expect significant follow-on business. Oxley experience with the A-6 dates back to 1994 when we fulfilled an order for filters on the radar suite.”
