NORTHROP WINS FURTHER GLOBAL HAWK WORK

01 Apr 04. A unit of Northrop Grumman Corp. (NYSE:NOC – News) has been awarded a $202 million contract for several Global Hawk UAVs, the U.S. military said on Thursday. The unmanned aerial vehicles played a crucial role during the U.S.-led wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Air Force said it selected Northrop Grumman Integrated Systems to produce the vehicles by October 2005. Almost $129 million of the funds have been obligated so far.

Northrop Grumman Integrated Systems, San Diego, Calif, is being awarded
a $202,000,000 fixed price incentive contract modification to provide for for undefinitized contract action low rate initial production Lot 3: one Global Hawk production air vehicle with basic integrated sensor suite; Two Global Hawk production air vehicle; One Global Hawk production air vehicle with enhanced-integrated sensor suites and clip-in sensor (hyperwide); One mission control element; one launch recovery element; basic integrated sensor suite; support
equipment and spares. At this time, $128,925,000 of the funds has been obligated. This work will be complete by October 2005. Solicitation began September 2003. The Headquarters Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-03-C-4310, P00001).

Northrop Grumman Integrated Systems, Air Combat Systems, San Diego,
Calif., is being awarded a $50,662,000 contract to provide for long lead parts/advance procurement for the following LRIP Lot 4 items: Four Global Hawk(RQ-4B) production air vehicles with enhanced-integrated sensor suites and clip-in sensor; one mission control element; one launch recovery element; support equipment and spares. Total funds have been obligated. This work will be complete January 2005. Solicitation began March 2004. The Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity(FA8620-04-C-3430).
