The DT Research LT360 rugged laptop is a high-performance computer that runs Windows® 11 IoT Enterprise, Windows® 10/11 LTSC, or various Linux® distributions operating system on AI-ready Intel® Core™ Ultra “Series 2” 5/7 processors and has a full-size, backlit keyboard. The 13.3” high-brightness (1000 nits) touchscreen is a sunlight-readable capacitive touch display, with high-resolution (1920 x 1080). There is also an option for 4K (3840 x 2160) resolution ideal for training videos and crisp image details. This fan-based design brings more sustained top performance while decreasing the overall weight, adding to the ultimate usability and portability.

Optional Night Vision
The LT360 offers an optional night vision screen for light-sensitive operations that require added security. The Daylight mode is 800 nits, while the NVIS mode has a choice of 0 to 20 nits providing clear readability of display with the naked eye in dark environments that does not interfere with Night Vision Goggles (NVGs), or 0 to 0.7 nits providing clear readability of display with NVGs in dark environments, and both are MIL-STD-3009 class B compliant.

With a built-in CAC/smart card reader, IR camera, and dual-frequency RFID, the LT360 rugged laptop provides advanced and fast identity verification for secure data access based on preset access levels.

The new fanless SEMIL-2200 series from Neousys, including the GPU-accelerated SEMIL-2200GC, is designed for demanding defense applications, offering complete sealing and full compliance with military standards for reliability. Honeywell (NASDAQ: HON) today announced the launch of its new Honeywell Alternative Navigation Architecture (HANA) — a software-based solution designed to ensure resilient navigation for crewed and uncrewed aircraft, as well as military surface vehicles, in environments where Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) signals are degraded, jammed or spoofed.
“Due to the proliferation of low-cost tools, the number of jamming, spoofing and blocking incidents is growing and is leaving more pilots and operators in the air without access to GNSS data,” said Matt Picchetti, vice president, Navigation and Sensors, Honeywell Aerospace Technologies. “HANA is our latest alternative navigation system designed to counter these threats by providing precise information on the aircraft’s position, velocity and orientation when GNSS signals are unavailable.”
HANA is a multi-system navigation platform that includes:
- Vision-aided navigation: Using live camera feeds to match ground imagery with map databases.
- Magnetic anomaly-aided navigation: Detecting known variations in Earth’s magnetic field.
- Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite navigation: Offering stronger, lower-altitude signals more resistant to jamming.
- Other modalities: Including light detection and ranging (LiDAR), radar, radios and star trackers.
With this layered architecture, operators can mix and match modalities to meet mission-specific requirements, ensuring maximum resilience, system integrity and consistent availability even in GPS-denied environments. To ensure efficiency and ease of use, HANA can run on the operator’s current computing platform, or one that Honeywell provides.
The initial release of HANA includes vision-aided navigation, but Honeywell also plans to integrate magnetic anomaly and LEO satellite solutions into the platform in 2026.

General Micro Systems (GMS) today announced the latest offerings in the XDomain family of three open standard cross domain systems (CDS) at AUSA 2025, booth #8407. Designed to be small, lightest weight, standards-based and low cost, the cross domain systems perform dual duty as they secure data at rest and in motion by separating Red domains from Black domains, while simultaneously bringing highest performance mission, sensor and payload processing functions into the CDSs themselves. Using MOSA-standard Ethernet and Thunderbolt™ 4, they are complete systems, not merely cross domain solutions, that can significantly save size, weight, power and cost (SWaP-C).
Cross domain systems are required whenever data moves from a classified environment to an unclassified one. With smart sensors, legacy platforms, and CJADC2-driven joint operations, data increasingly crosses secure boundaries, even when using military links such as the Link-16. CDSs ensure rules-based transfer and encryption/decryption across these domains. The challenge is delivering CDSs that are lightweight, affordable, and accessible, unlike the large, proprietary and costly systems typically offered by major primes.
“We’ve torn that model to shreds,” said Ben Sharfi, CEO and chief architect, GMS.
“We’ve created three open standard-based small, lightweight, and low-cost cross domain systems that fit into swarm UAVs, mobile and portable deployments, vehicles, and more. There’s nothing in the market even close—and you’re not going to find it because it’s our X9 architecture that’s made it possible and no one else has X9. However, each CDS in the XDomain family is MOSA-inspired and based upon the industry’s only open standards: Thunderbolt 4 and Ethernet. Why has nobody done this before?”
New XDomain products come in three class types
The three latest members of the XDomain family are all based upon the GMS Technology Readiness Level (TRL) X9 architecture:
- X9 SPIDER “TacKit” Mini-Stack small form factor (SFF);
- X7 RAPTOR Nano-Stack value-priced SFF; and
- VIPER NanoATR ½ ATR (short) SOSA-aligned OpenVPX chassis based upon GMS VENOM OpenVPX.
Each CDS contains a Red domain (classified or “high side”), a Black domain (insecure or “low side), and a General Dynamics® KG-175N Type 1 HAIPE encryptor. The domains themselves are fully isolated and fully featured high-performance mission processors with high-speed Ethernet networking, Thunderbolt 4 and myriad add-in I/O used to build the cross domain systems into complex single-box systems. The CDSs can replace other functions or systems in a defense platform, saving SWaP-C.
What differentiates GMS cross domain systems are their class-leading small size, revolutionary light weight in each class type, the use of truly open standards, and the ability to use each system not only as CDSs, but as a fully featured high performance system. GMS’ CDSs can replace other boxes and functions on the platform, saving SWaP-C without exuberant costs.
The three cross domain systems in XDomain include:
- X7 “RAPTOR” Nano-Stack™
The smallest and lightest weight member of GMS’s XDomain family is the X7 “RAPTOR” Nano-Stack cross domain system. Based upon the GMS X7 RAPTOR mission computer, these svelte CDSs are designed for “bolt-on” installation with its under five (5) pound weight and 4” x 4” x 6” (W x H x L) footprint. Two X7 RAPTOR mission computers provide dual-CPU performance based on Intel® Core i7 8-core processors and up to 128 GB of DDR4 memory. A General Dynamics TACLANE encryptor separates the two domains (Red and Black) while 1 GigE network ports bring data into/out of the Nano-Stack. FIPS-140-2 or CSfC SSDs complement the dual 40 Gbps Thunderbolt™ 4 ports on each domain. These cross domain systems can function as two mission or payload processors and is priced for use in higher volume applications such as swarm drones, autonomous sensors, portable/mobile networks, or to secure add-on systems in legacy platforms as part of battlefield connectivity.
- X9 SPIDER “TacKit” Mini-Stck™
Similar in function to the Nano-Stack, the TacKit Mini-Stack uses dual X9 SPIDER mission computers, one per domain. Its size is slightly larger at 5” x 6” x 6.5” (W x H x L) and under 9 pounds, but it adds substantially more performance into the mix. There are still 1 GigE input/output ports to these CDSs and the same TACLANE encryptor, but each mission computer now has four (4) Thunderbolt 4 ports and can be scaled up with myriad system I/O such as MIL-STD-1553, quad 100 GbE fiber network ports, dual SSDs, and an NVIDIA® A4500 GPGAPU for on-platform and edge artificial intelligence (AI) processing. These CDSs are designed for airborne, medium-sized UAVs, mobile applications and vehicles.
- VENOM “VIPER” NanoATR™
Based upon the GMS VENOM line of 3U OpenVPX, SOSA-aligned MOSA-inspired single board computers, switch cards and I/O, the RAPTOR NanoATR is a standard-size ½ ATR (short) conduction-cooled chassis with GMS-unique per-slot cooling. A patent-pending radiator assembly provides efficient per-slot conduction cooling which allows the 4-slot 3U chassis to dissipate up to 800 W. Dual VENOM single-board computers (SBC)—one for the Red domain and one for the Black domain—serve as mission processors on isolated and independent (non-interconnected) backplanes inside the chassis.

10 Oct 25. MarsEUs: A New Milestone for BLOS European Collaborative Capability Successfully Reached With the Final Demonstration. By the end of September 2025, an important step was made for European Defence, with the successful final demonstrations of the MarsEUs project (Modular Architecture Solution for EU States) , taking place in Belgian military camp “King Albert” in Marche-en-Famenne. Second phase of the European global project dedicated to Ground Combat – started in 2020 with EDIDP LynkEUs project – EDF MarsEUs project addresses the need for greater European Defence autonomy and superiority, by proposing further enhancements on the Beyond the Line Of Sight (BLOS) technology. With a European Union funding of 25M€, this project led by MBDA was launched in 2022 and includes a consortium of 11 countries and 23 different European partners and sub-contractors, working all together on a common goal: to develop a collaborative close combat architecture enhancing existing missile systems with a Beyond-Line-Of-Sight capability. 10 Oct 25. Developing Advanced Technologies for More Resilient Multidomain Defence Structures. The European Union’s autonomy is being challenged daily and across all defence domains. The range of threats facing the EU is broadening, with direct implications for Europe’s military capability. In this context, modernising current defence systems has thus become a priority. The European project MaJor (Maintenance, Joining, and Repair innovation in multidomain defence), funded by the European Defence Fund (EDF) under the indirect management of the European Defence Agency (EDA) will address this strategic concern by developing advanced technologies destined to increase the durability of future platform designs from the air, land and sea domain. The impact on obsolete designs on the EU’s strategic autonomy is already significant and the risk of ceding ground to non-EU competitors is real. MaJoR will deliver new systems with superior mission capability. They will be more affordable, scalable in production, and sustainable in manufacturing and service thus strengthening Europe’s security and defence capability by 2030. The project has also an ambition to help to unlock the full potential of the EU’s defence industry, in particular by supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and start ups.
Approach
MaJoR answers this need for modernisation by advancing and demonstrating the benefits of various maintenance, joining and repair technologies through domain specific demonstrators. Current designs have short life spans and face high repair and maintenance costs, ultimately resulting in surging replacement costs. They also depend on raw materials for their manufacturing, and enhance dependencies of the supply chain with non-EU suppliers.
To increase the air, land and sea platform durability, while decreasing the economic and geopolitical impacts of obsolete designs, MaJoR will:
- Level the playing field between achieved maturation of technologies and processes across domains. While advanced materials like composites are common in aerospace, it is an emerging technology for land-based vehicles and ships.
- Push technologies and test them using demonstrators in each domain, with the aim of reducing the cost, weight, lead time, vehicle signature, and increasing the space efficiency and vehicle availability.
- Use the partners’ vast experience in their respective fields and synergistically help to shorten the development time despite contradicting requirements in each domain.
- Augment the platform development with financial support to third parties, such as SMEs, and introduce new technologies and services through funded developmental activities that the consortium can evaluate and absorb within the project.
Ultimately, MaJoR will strengthen the European industrial network by encouraging Europeans to cooperate more closely and ensure the future of their own Defence Technology Industrial Base.

14 Oct 25. Axiom Space, Resonac join forces to pioneer space-based semiconductor manufacturing. Axiom Space, a global leader in commercial space infrastructure, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Japanese advanced materials giant Resonac Corporation to explore semiconductor manufacturing in space. The agreement marks a major step towards harnessing microgravity and low-Earth orbit (LEO) conditions to develop next-generation semiconductor materials, potentially transforming the future of chip production. Resonac’s chief technology officer, Masato Fukushima, said the space environment provides unique opportunities for innovation.
“The unique environment of space offers immense potential for advancing semiconductor materials, especially in crystal growth,” Fukushima said. “Partnering with Axiom Space, we aim to accelerate experiments and drive innovation in materials, fostering industrial growth and societal progress.”
Under the collaboration, the two companies will research how microgravity and the vacuum of LEO can be used to produce high-performance materials for chip packaging and other critical applications. The lack of convection and sedimentation in space allows for the growth of near-perfect crystals, resins and two-dimensional materials. Experiments will make use of the International Space Station (ISS), Axiom Space’s orbital platforms and the forthcoming Axiom Station, the first commercial space station to progress from proof of concept to scalable, commercially viable production. Resonac also plans to extend ongoing work with Axiom Space focused on developing radiation-resistant moulding compounds to reduce “soft errors” bit flips caused by cosmic rays striking semiconductor transistors. The company is currently testing materials on both the interior and exterior of the ISS. Axiom Space chief technology officer and astronaut Koichi Wakata said the partnership highlights the growing role of space in driving industrial innovation.
