08 Aug 04. Lockheed Martin named President Robert Stevens to an added CEO post, replacing Vance Coffman, who said in March he would retire. The Bethesda, Md., defense contractor said Coffman will serve as nonexecutive chairman through April 2005. Coffman spent 37 years at Lockheed, the last seven as chief executive.
04 Aug 04. Exostar announced the appointment of Judith W. Northup to the board of directors. Northup is vice president and chief administrative officer for Vought Aircraft Industries, Inc. She provides executive leadership for Vought’s materiel, human resources, government/industry relations and corporate communications functions. Ms. Northup has been with Vought in various capacities since 1979.
28 Jul 04. George Battersby, appointed to the board of Cable and Wireless as human resources director, is a non-executive director at SHL, the psychometric testing company. But was he given such a test before joining C&W? The telecommunications group – no stranger to SHL’s services – says only that it followed its normal practice for board-level recruitment. 05 Aug 04. The board of directors of General Dynamics elected Raynor B. Reavis, 63, a vice president of the corporation. Reavis has been senior vice president of marketing and sales for Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics, since July 2002 and will continue to hold that position.
