6 May 03. Northrop Grumman Corporation and the University of New Orleans announced that Dr. Clifford Whitcomb has accepted the Northrop Grumman Ship Systems Endowed Chair in Engineering and Shipbuilding at the University of New
Orleans. Dr. Whitcomb fills the second of two UNO Endowed Chairs that
the company committed $2 million to sponsor.

06 May 03. Northrop Grumman Corporation announced the appointment of Raj Chandhok as vice president, Trust Administration and Investments. Chandhok reports to Richard B. Waugh Jr., corporate vice president and chief financial officer. In this position, Chandhok, 53, is responsible for the investment and trust management of Northrop Grumman’s employee benefit plans, including the recommendation, implementation and administration of funding and investment policies. These duties also involve selection and oversight of the investment firms that manage benefit plan assets.

07 May 03. L-3 Communications announced that it has appointed Ronald G. Sabbagh to the newly-created position of vice president of Software Development and Special Projects. In this position, Mr. Sabbagh will oversee all of L-3’s software processes and disciplines. Mr. Sabbagh will monitor and provide support regarding the software development processes of current L-3 Communications programs as well as integrate the software technologies and practices of newly acquired divisions and any new L-3 divisions. Mr. Sabbagh will report to Robert V. LaPenta, president and chief financial officer of L-3 Communications.
