09 Dec 05. Bell Helicopter Textron Inc., a Textron Inc. company, recently cut the ribbon on their new Unmanned Aircraft Systems Flight Test Center of Excellence. Located in Graford, Texas, the new center is an extension of Bell Helicopter’s XworX facility and will serve as the test field for all of Bell Helicopter’s unmanned systems.

16 Dec 05. Boeing Realty Corp. announced the sale of 13.3 acres of surplus vacant land at the I-90 Business Park in Bellevue, Wash., to Schnitzer Northwest. The transaction helps the Boeing Co. improve its operational efficiency and the use of its assets.

20 Dec 05. Wichita members of the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace approved on Tuesday a new three-year contract with the Boeing Co. The vote was 73 percent in favor of the pact — 184 yes votes to 69 no votes. The new agreement is effective immediately, replacing the
previous contract that expired on Dec. 5. The contract covers engineers who work for Boeing Integrated Defense Systems Wichita.

16 Dec 05. Z Microsystems has appointed James A. Robinson to the position of President, effective in January. Mr. Robinson will be responsible for directing Z Microsystems as the Company responds to program level opportunities in the military’s transformation to the digital battlefield.

20 Dec 05. Iveco changes at the top. Giuseppi Franchi, managing director at Iveco in the UK will return to Italy and a new, senior job. In the UK, Christopher Thorneycroft-Smith replaces Franchi as MD.

19 Dec 05. Embraer informs that, for personal reasons, Romualdo Monteiro de Barros has submitted his resignation from the post of Executive Vice-President, Defense and Government Market. His resignation was accepted, and Luiz Carlos Siqueira Aguiar was appointed to replace him. Until now Aguiar served as Embraer’s chairman of the board. Luiz Carlos Siqueira Aguiar has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Paraná Federal University and a master’s degree in Business Administration from the Rio Grande do Sul Federal University. During most of his career, he was employed by the Banco do Brasil, where he had the opportunity to plan and introduce major international operations.

20 Dec 05. Northrop Grumman Corporation has named John F. Olesak vice president of space and intelligence for the company’s Information Technology (IT) sector.
