11 Sep 19. Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group has launched a new standardised and reconfigurable Matrix Container system to speed up the availability of operational support units.

The company has developed its deployable standardised Matrix Container system with ready-installed C-rail that can be rapidly fitted with a range of standardised equipment in a variety of configurations.

Marshall’s Matrix Containers allow equipment to be fitted to the container walls, ceiling and floor and give users the flexibility to rapidly change and reconfigure the container for demand-based and cost-effective military support.

It means that the same container could be rapidly reconfigured, for example from a warehouse unit into a communications station or laboratory unit, depending on operational needs.

Ray Cutting, Managing Director of Marshall ADG Land Systems said:

“The world’s armed forces are on constant standby for a number of diverse operations, and we wanted to ensure they could be ready for critical situations, with relevant and rapidly-available equipment. We have developed this innovative solution so that customers can rapidly reconfigure containers for their needs, in a quicker and more cost effective way, so they can have equipment they can rapidly adapt to a variety of deployment scenarios.”

Marshall has a long history of supplying its containerised systems for a variety of applications, including Staff Working Environments, Ground Control Stations, Workshops, Warehousing and CT Scanners, many of which are deployed by British and international armed forces around the world.

The company has also developed a VR application, which uses the latest state-of-the-art commercial-grade VR headset, to provide a totally immersive experience that enables the user to ‘enter’ a container and see the range of equipment insitu.

The Marshall Matrix Container system can be deployed in extreme conditions, including extremes of temperatures ranging from -51 to +60 degrees. Visit us at DSEI stand S2-306.

10 Sep 19. The FAUN Trackway Limited team were invited to a week-long exercise with the NATO battle groups at Saber Guardian in Romania; where their Heavy Ground Mobility System operated in support of a Wet Gap Crossing at the Danube River crossing site in Bordusani, Romania.

The co-led Romanian and US exercise saw the 141st Manoeuvre Enhancement Brigade mission command the crossing operation which included support from the Romanian Engineer Battalion and the 50th Multi-Role Bridge Company.

The Heavy Ground Mobility System was partnered with Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles’ (RMMV) HX77, which expediently laid FAUN Trackway®’s M150 Trackway® to provide ground stability and access points to the shore.

Exercise Saber Guardian has been organised since 2013, being hosted on a rotational basis by Bulgaria, Romania and Ukraine with a view of increasing interoperability at joint and multinational levels with the allied and partner states’ armed forces.

FAUN Trackway® was proud to play a role in such a prestigious exercise following their participation at Saber Strike 2018 in Poland; and grateful for the cooperation provided by the DIT DSO Export Support Team.
