GENERAL DYNAMICS UNITED KINGDOM LTD SELECTS BTEXACT TECHNOLOGIES AS PARTNER

22 Jan 03. BTexact Technologies, BT’s advanced research and technology business, today announced that it has signed an agreement with General Dynamics UK Ltd, a world leader in mission critical defence systems, as its partner of choice for future information communication technology projects.

The agreement continues and expands a close working relationship which developed during the successful bid to establish a Defence Technology Centre (DTC) for the Ministry of Defence (MoD). One of seven virtual technology centres being developed by the MoD, the Data Fusion DTC is designed to ensure that research and development within the military is driven by commercial and academic experts.

As one of the top six defence companies worldwide, General Dynamics has enjoyed recent success throughout Europe with a number of major communications and avionics projects. When it was recently awarded lead contractor status for the Data Fusion DTC, General Dynamics UK selected BTexact as its partner of choice to jointly develop a number of high technology research and development projects.
