Nov 07. DIMDEX 2008. The success and recognition of the IMDEX Asia Series as the premier and “must-attend” Event serving the Asia Pacific Region from Singapore has prompted the Organisers to look further afield. They are now launching a new show in Doha, Qatar called Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference (DIMDEX). The inaugural DIMDEX Event is scheduled from 17 to 19 March 2008, to be called DIMDEX 2008. DIMDEX 2008 is planned to serve the Middle East and North African (MENA) Region. Like its sister Show, IMDEX Asia, the DIMDEX Series shall also be biennual, and shall take place every March in the even years. Modelled after the IMDEX Asia Series, it shall hold its exhibition in the new Qatar International Exhibition Centre (QIEC) which will be completed in July/August 2007. National Pavilions will again be formed to group companies from various countries. A two-day Conference is being planned to run concurrently with the exhibition.
