09 Oct 25. EURONAVAL is organizing an international conference with the participation of NATO experts on November 5, 2025, in Brussels. EURONAVAL, the world’s largest event dedicated to naval defence and maritime security, has announced that it will be organising a new conference with the participation of NATO experts on 5 November 2025 at the Square Brussels Convention Centre. Entitled « Evolving NATO’s digital ocean to improve maritime capabilities – Perspectives on quantum logic and trusted intelligence to enable decision superiority » this international meeting will be the first in a series of preparatory events for EURONAVAL 2026, which will be held from 3 to 6 November 2026 at Paris-Nord Villepinte. It is part of the development of the « outside the walls » formats initiated by EURONAVAL since 2023, with the quarterly EURONAVAL Talks webinars, which have been very successful.
The conference will focus on four main themes :
- Strategic innovation (cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, real-time data exploitation and quantum technologies);
- Partnerships and cooperation between NATO, industry and academia;
- Sovereignty related to maritime data;
- The forward-looking vision towards information superiority.
This one-day conference will bring together representatives from the highest institutional, political, industrial and academic bodies. In addition to the debates, there will be opportunities for networking (breaks, lunch, cocktail reception, etc.) to encourage discussion between participants.

22 Sep 25. Slovakia’s DRONTEX 2025 to host industry experts on October 15. On October 15, 2025, the fourth edition of the international drone conference DRONTEX 2025 will take place at the national cultural monument Elektrárňa Piešťany. The event, organized by the Mám Dron Association in cooperation with the Adapt Institute, will welcome professionals from government institutions, the private sector, academia, and drone technology enthusiasts not only from the V4 countries. The conference, moderated by Peter Novák, will be held in English, with the main theme focusing on security challenges connected to the use and misuse of unmanned technologies. Participants can also look forward to an exclusive bonus event – a live demonstration of an anti-drone system on the morning of October 16. DRONTEX is made possible thanks to the support of the International Visegrad Fund and institutional partners: the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, the Regional Innovation and Development Agency (KIRA), and the Trnava Self-Governing Region.
What Participants Can Expect
Expert presentations will provide insights into current trends and challenges related to protecting European airspace, airborne threats and countermeasures, as well as showcasing technological innovations and development projects from domestic and international companies.
A new addition this year will be panel discussions moderated by Viliam Ostatník, who will engage with guests on the current state and predicted future of the drone ecosystem in the EU. During breaks, DRONTEX attendees will have the chance to discover inspiring drone-related projects through informal small talks with guest speakers. Throughout Elektrárňa Piešťany, visitors will be able to explore drone installations and partner booths. The evening program will feature informal networking and social activities.
On Thursday, October 16, at 9:30 AM, a live demonstration of the EnforceAir Plus system for detecting and neutralizing unmanned aerial systems will take place outside Hotel Park.
Event Agenda
The conference program begins on Wednesday, October 15, at 9:00 AM with opening remarks from Rastislav Sopko, representing the Mám Dron Association, and Radoslav Štefánek, State Secretary of the Ministry of Investment, Regional Development and Informatization of the Slovak Republic (MIRRI).
- Block 1 – Future of Drones: Evolution or Revolution?
Speakers will reflect on how drones have transformed the use of airspace and its security. Presentations by Ľubomír Andrassy (Supreme Audit Office of Slovakia), Imrich Marton (strategic foresight expert), and Pavol Serbín (aviation information systems specialist) will be followed by a panel discussion featuring representatives from EASA and the Hungarian Institute for Defense Innovation Research.
- Block 2 – Power of Innovation and Technological Breakthroughs
This session will highlight technological innovations driving rapid advances in unmanned system applications. Industry experts will discuss BVLOS operations (beyond visual line of sight), tethered drones, and methods for detecting rogue drones at mass events. The security focus will continue with a panel featuring former Minister of Defense Martin Sklenár and a representative from NATO.
- Block 3 – From Battlefield to Lifesaving: The Evolving Role of Drones
This block will explore drone deployment in modern warfare and international conflicts. Military and dual-use UAV experts will be joined by panelists discussing drone applications in search and rescue (SAR) missions.
- Block 4 – Secure and Transparent Skies
This session will feature Alida Štulajterová from Air Navigation Services of the Czech Republic, presenting an information campaign for drone pilots in the Czech Republic. Other speakers will address unmanned aviation safety from both hobbyist and professional perspectives. Networking will play an important role throughout the day, culminating in a dinner and social program starting at 8:00 PM.
Bonus for Attendees
Although the main program of DRONTEX 2025 takes place on October 15, organizers, together with a conference partner, have prepared a special live demonstration of an anti-drone system on October 16 at 9:30 AM at Hotel Park. Visitors will witness in real time how hostile drones are detected and learn about the methods used to neutralize them.

The Mám Dron Association was founded as a civic initiative to raise awareness of the need for responsible airspace use. Space-Comm, Europe’s leading event organiser for the space industry, have confirmed plans for the biggest ever space industry event to be held in Scotland, with support from the UK Space Agency and Space Scotland, representing both the UK and Scottish Governments. Space-Comm Expo Scotland at SEC Glasgow 3-4 December will attract over 2,300 delegates, 100 speakers and 80 exhibitors with global leaders and influencers from government, aerospace, defence, business and academia. Plans for Space-Comm Expo Scotland were confirmed this week with the first wave of headline speakers, sponsors and exhibitors, to coincide with World Space Week 4-10 October. 06 Oct 25. Farnborough International Airshow 2026 Sells Out and Announces New Exhibition Hall. Farnborough International Airshow has expanded its 2026 exhibition footprint with the addition of a new hall, following selling out of space 12 months in advance of the event, breaking the previous sell-out record. With a brand-new, sixth hall and a boosted chalet offering, Farnborough International Airshow 2026 will be the largest event in the show’s 78-year history. It remains the most important international platform for the global aerospace, defence, and space industries, as well as adjacent sectors. Building upon its sold-out success from 2024, the 2026 airshow will continue to forge international collaboration and drive new cross-sector innovation advancements on a global level. The new hall will house additional exhibitor stands for the five-day event, taking place 20-24 July 2026.
