Disruptive Technology 2019 provides a platform to discuss innovative solutions to align military capabilities to the future threat environment and retain strategic overmatch in the context of rapid technological development.
The conference will examine how selected major capability areas can be transformed by combinations of data processing, connectivity, robotics, autonomy, and machine learning/artificial intelligence. Over two days we will examine some common themes, five key capability areas, and the relationships between them in a future Joint and Combined Force.
The conference will welcome strategic thought leaders including:

The world is facing an increasing threat from digital deception as automated and machine AI based approaches become ever more sophisticated. From the use of falsified imagery to influence the general public, or botnets to “spoof” position of forces and assets, the means of deception in the digital world are complex, numerous and the scope is growing at an unprecedented rate. The Digital Data Deception (D3) project aims to inform MOD and wider Government on the current “state-of-the-art” and future possibilities for digital deception and counter-digital deception programmes. Through the D3 project, Dstl is drawing together key players from industry and across the academic
landscape to research methods of combatting the threat of digital data deception, and future proofing Government strategy in the digital world. In FY1920, the D3 project will enable discussion between potential suppliers, leading to creation of strategic blueprint for future collaboration and outlining Extra Mural Research (EMR) tasks ahead of the formal competition process. Please join us to learn more about the D3 project and potential opportunities to work with us.
