The ILA Berlin Air Show will be taking place from 25 to 29 April 2018 at Berlin ExpoCenter Airport. The first three days are reserved for trade visitors only. At the weekend the trade fair will also be open to the public. At the ILA Berlin Air Show 2018 the focus will be on innovations, new technology and sustainability. This represents a logical continuation of the ILA concept that was successfully introduced in 2016.
Volker Thum, Chief Executive of the BDLI: “The ILA has become synonymous with Innovation and Leadership in Aerospace. Next year it will again be taking a close look at topics of major importance for the future of our globally active sector. Our industry will have a decisive impact on areas of future importance such as sustainability, digitalisation, 3D printing/bionic design and Industry 4.0. Advanced technology products can also be seen live during the programme of flying displays at the ILA”.
Dr. Christian Göke, Chief Executive Officer of Messe Berlin GmbH: “The decision to hold the ILA at the end of April 2018 is a response to the industry’s wishes to avoid an excessive concentration of international trade shows that year. The new conceptual approach is emerging as a unique selling point.“
The main features of the display at the ILA 2018 will include Aviation, Space, Defense & Security and the International Suppliers’ Center ISC. Another major component is a conference programme of the highest quality, dealing with current issues and future challenges in the aerospace sector.
The ILA 2016 was attended by over 1,000 exhibitors from 37 countries, presenting a wide range of their latest high-tech products as well as research and development projects. This four-day event attracted 150,000 trade visitors and members of the public to the 250,000 square-metre Berlin ExpoCenter Airport. Some 200 aircraft were featured in the static and flying displays.
