The Association of the United States Army’s Institute of Land Warfare (AUSA ILW), with participation from the U.S. Army Combined Arms Center and the U.S. Army Mission Command Center of Excellence, presents the 2013 AUSA ILW Mission Command Symposium, to be held 18-19 June 2013 at the Kansas City Marriott Downtown, Kansas City, Missouri. As a warfighting function, mission command is the first among equals because, at its essence, it is the commander’s responsibility to integrate all warfighting functions in time and space to accomplish the mission. This symposium will be attended by senior leaders in the U.S. Army and the defense industry, including LTG David G. Perkins, Commanding General, United States Army Combined Arms Center and Fort Leavenworth; LTG David E. Huntoon, Jr., Superintendent, United States Military Academy; Mr. James Young, Senior United States Army Account Executive, Google; LTG Susan S.
