EXHIBITIONS AND CONFERENCES 24 Feb 05

14 Feb 05. The dates for DVD 2005 have now been confirmed as 29 – 30 June, once again taking place at Millbrook Proving Ground, Bedfordshire. Organised under the aegis of the MOD’s Defence Procurement Agency (DPA) and the Defence Logistic Organisation (DLO), DVD 2005 is fast becoming one of Europe’s largest exhibitions of specialist vehicles, showcasing the latest emergency and military products in realistic environments including static, on and off-road conditions.

Coordinated by the Specialist and Utility Vehicle Integrated Project Team (SUV IPT), the theme of this year’s show will be ‘Driving solutions through life’. Commenting on the show, IPT Deputy Leader Robert Hobbs said: “DVD 2004 was a great success, attracting 108 exhibitors and two thousand six hundred visitors over the two days. This year we’re planning to build on the successes of previous years.”

Millbrook is the ideal venue for DVD, allowing manufacturers to meet key staff involved in the acquisition, commissioning, development and operation of such equipment. Purpose-built just over 30 years ago, Millbrook has invested heavily in its facilities specifically for DVD creating virtually every terrain found worldwide from deep troughs and dry river beds to the now infamous 1 in 1 incline.

Entry to DVD 2005 is by pre-registration only. To apply please go to the show web page at www.theevent.co.uk or ring the visitor hotline number on 0845 130 7752.
