DVD – Save The Date

August 30, 2016 by

DVD2016: Save the Date

Don’t forget to enter 7-8 September 2016 into your new calendar for one of the most important events in the defence diary for those involved in equipment and support for the UK’s Land Forces, DVD2016.

DVD2016 7-8th September 2016DVD will once again bring together industry and defence in the land equipment sector at Millbrook, to develop ideas and generate an increased understanding of the dynamic defence environment.

The theme for DVD2016 will encompass the development, modernisation and sustainment of Army capability now and in the future, and will build on the success of DVD2014 to reflect the Army’s continued focus on a return to a contingent operational footing.

This is the third event that will be jointly run by Army Headquarters and DE&S Land Equipment and will bring together the military, industry and the acquisition community for two days of informal discussions, engagement with users, demonstrations and live displays.

Those attending will be able to see a wide range of equipment on display, from industry and the military, with more than 250 companies expected to exhibit at DVD2016. This will include everything from specialist vehicles to all the equipment and services necessary to support deployment.

Major General Paul Jaques, DE&S Director Land Equipment, said: “DVD is a great opportunity to meet with industry providers and increase understanding of the military market and the challenges it faces.

“If you are involved in Land Equipment for Army HQ, DE&S, Front Line Commands or the Defence Academy then this is a great event for you to share ideas and meet key people across Defence.”

Brigadier Colin McClean, Head of Equipment at Army Headquarters, said: “Visitors can expect a full experience over the two days, showcasing the equipment and technology that reflects the Army’s continued focus on a return to a contingent operational footing. “
