DUBAI NEARLY SOLD OUT

14 May 03. Fairs & Exhibitions (F&E), organisers of Dubai 2003, the eighth international aerospace exhibition, say 91% of the show, has now been reserved and only five of the event’s 82 chalets remain available.

“This is a very healthy sales picture before we move into our final sales phase beginning at Le Bourget in June,” said Clive Richardson, Chief Executive Officer, F&E. “In all 70% of Dubai 2003 has been fully contracted and we anticipate high demand from the Paris air show and during the autumn months.”

Recent developments for Dubai 2003 are the expanded participation of a number of international and local exhibitors. The USA’s second largest defence contractor, the Northrop Grumman Corporation, has increased its original chalet occupation, while the Abu Dhabi-headquartered CERT Higher Colleges of Technology has increased its original contracted space by 30%.

Recently contracted exhibitors include Russia’s Aviation Military Industrial Complex ‘Sukhoi’ and SALUT, ChevronTexaco, Emirates airline and Rapiscan Security Products.
