8 Apr 02. DRS Technologies, Inc. (AMEX: DRS – news) announced that its board of directors approved plans to transfer the company’s common stock for listing on the New York Stock Exchange(NYSE), and that the application DRS filed with the NYSE has been approved.
The company expects to begin trading on the NYSE on Tuesday, April 30, 2002 under the same ticker symbol, “DRS”. Until that time, DRS’s common stock will continue to trade on the American Stock Exchange. “By moving to the world’s most prestigious stock exchange, we expect to increase the company’s visibility in domestic and worldwide investment communities, providing us with access to a broader investor base,” said Mark S. Newman, DRS Technologies’ chairman, president and chief executive officer.
