04 Oct 17. Cohort plc company, MASS, has won a contract to provide the Defence School of Communication Information Systems (DSCIS) at Blandford with a classroom simulator to support the UK MoD’s EW capability. MASS’ EW simulator will become an integral part of the EW training process at the DSCIS. The software based solution will enable instructional staff to deliver EW training under realistic physical, functional and environmental conditions with true-to-life scenarios. This capability will ensure students are able to plan the deployment of EW sensors, analyse signals generated by the target emitters and identify threats and targets for attack or exploitation.

29 Sep 17. Lockheed Martin Space Systems Co., Sunnyvale, California, is being awarded $418,653,874 for fixed-price-incentive, cost-plus-incentive-fee, cost-plus-fixed-fee modification PZ0002 to a previously awarded unpriced letter contract (N00030-17-C-0100) for new procurement of Trident II (D5) missile production, D5 life extension production, and D5 deployed systems support. The work will be performed in Sunnyvale, California (26.08 percent); Cape Canaveral, Florida (22.84 percent); Bangor, Washington (21.05 percent); Kings Bay, Georgia (20.67 percent); Magna, Utah (2.51 percent); Orlando, Florida (1.12 percent); and other various locations (less than 1.00 percent each; 5.73 percent total), and work is expected to be completed Sept. 30, 2022, for both base and option. The maximum dollar value of the modification, including the base items and all option items if exercised, is $1,122,936,777. Fiscal 2017 weapons procurement (Navy) in the amount of $31,635,824; and United Kingdom funds in the amount of $3,619,000 are being obligated on this award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Subject to availability, fiscal 2018 operations and maintenance (Navy) funds in the amount of $316,700,000; and United Kingdom funds in the amount of $66,699,050 will be obligated for the effort. Strategic Systems Programs, Washington, District of Columbia, is the contracting activity.

29 Sep 17. BAE Systems Land and Armaments LP, York, Pennsylvania, has been awarded a $68,993,006 firm-fixed-price contract for the procurement of 20 M88A2 Heavy Equipment Recovery Combat Utility Lift and Evacuation System vehicles, and one associated stockage list spares kits. Bids were solicited via the Internet with one received. Work will be performed in York, Pennsylvania, with an estimated completion date of Oct. 31, 2019. Fiscal 2016 and 2017 other procurement, Army funds in the amount of $68,993,006 were obligated at the time of the award. U.S. Army Contracting Command, Warren, Michigan, is the contracting activity (W56HZV-17-C-0242).

02 Oct 17. Elbit Systems Ltd. (NASDAQ: ESLT and TASE: ESLT) (““Elbit Systems”) announced today that its subsidiary, Elbit Systems of America, LLC, (“Elbit Systems of America”) was awarded a $31.5m additional component contract by the Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime to provide Aviator Night Vision Imaging System Head-Up Displays (ANVIS HUD). Work will be performed over a two-year period.

02 Oct 17. Harris Radio Frequency Communications, Rochester, New York (N00039-17-D-0070), is being awarded a $765,000,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, firm-fixed-price contract for procurement of portable radios and ancillary parts. The procurement includes fielding of handheld, manpack, fixed mount/vehicular and base station radios that fulfill Office of the Chief of Naval Operations approved legacy tactical, portable radio requirements. Work will be performed in Rochester, New York, and work is expected to be completed September 2018. If all options are exercised, work could continue through September 2022.
