19 Sep 16. Thinklogical has been awarded a contract by the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA). Thinklogical is a maker of secure KVM signal extension and switching systems for video-rich applications. Under the Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) with NCIA, Thinklogical will provide equipment and services. (Source: C4ISR & Networks)

19 Sep 16. The UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) has placed an order with Leonardo-Finmeccanica to deliver mini-missile decoys for the Royal Air Force (RAF). Under the £2.5m contract, Leonardo will provide BriteCloud system, which can be fired from an aircraft’s flare dispenser without the need for modification to the aircraft. Using radar emissions and missile-confusing advanced electronics, the miniature decoy will be able to disrupt systems within radar-guided air-to-air and surface-to-air missiles. 23 Sep 16. Danish Defense and Security Group Terma has signed a contract with NATO Alliance Ground Surveillance Management Agency (NAGSMA) for delivery and installation of an automated target recognition and identification system to the NATO Alliance Ground Surveillance (AGS) Programme. Terma’s task is to deliver a system which will assist the operators in the control room in interpreting Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) radar data from the remote controlled Global Hawk aircraft. The contract value is MEUR 15.1 with solution delivery in 2019. The system will be integrated at NATO’s AGS Main Operation Base (MOB) at Italian Air Base Sigonella in Sicily. (Source: ASD Network)

21 Sep 16. Bren-Tronics has been awarded a contract to deliver next-generation military-grade battery chargers, including the advanced battery charger (ABC), which will be used by US Marine Corps (USMC) to improve operational energy capabilities in the battlefield. Awarded under the Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) 2016 Acquisition Strategy, the $38m contract has a duration of one year including four option years. Deliveries of the battery chargers are expected to start in the fourth quarter of this year. (Source: naval-technology.com)

22 Sep 16. DRS Network and Imaging Systems, Melbourne, Florida, was awarded a $339,305,395 firm-fixed-price contract for the Joint Effects Targeting System. Bids were solicited via the Internet with two received. Work locations and funding will be determined with each order, with an estimated completion date of Sept. 21, 2021. Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen, Maryland, is the contracting activity (W91CRB-16-D0028).
22 Sep 16. Foster-Miller Inc., doing business as QinetiQ, North America, Waltham, Massachusetts, is being awarded a $10,180,034 modification to previously awarded contract N00174-14-D-0026 to exercise option two for the production of MK2 Man Transportable Robotic System (MTRS) series robotics systems, depot level repair parts, spare kits, approved accessories, consumable parts, reconditioning, conversions, engineering enhancements and configuration management services. The MK2 MTRS systems are in support of the Joint Service Explosive Ordnance Division program. Work will be performed in Waltham, Massachusetts, and is expected to be completed by September 2017. No funds are being obligated at time of award. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division, Indian Head, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration Inc., Wayne, New Jersey, is being awarded a $47,671,140 cost-plus-incentive-fee, firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for procurement of Network Tactical Common Data Link systems that includes a design, development test and low-rate initial production (LRIP).
