13 Sep 16. Arktis Radiation Detectors has been selected to supply radiation portal monitors and mobile detection systems to the Belgian Government, for use at the Port of Antwerp. Under the contract, which has been let by the Belgium Ministry of Finance, Arktis and partner Bavak – Arktis’ exclusive distributor for the Benelux Region – will supply the port with radiation detection equipment for the largest capacity container terminal in Europe, located at the Left Bank in the Port of Antwerp.

14 Sep 16. Cohort plc subsidiary SEA has been awarded a contract from Ultra Electronics to supply transducers as part of the Sonar 2050 Technology Refresh programme (S2050TR) for the Royal Navy.
SEA has signed a five-year contract with Ultra that will cover the duration of the Type 23 programme; this has also strengthened SEA’s hopes of contributing to the Type 26 Global Combat Ship programme.
The £2m contract, comprising eight ship sets, will support the replacement of the Sonar 2050 systems on the RN’s current Type 23 frigates, enhancing a world-leading hull-mounted sonar capability that provides persistent surveillance against submarine and torpedo threats. SEA will upgrade its established Tonpilz Transducer design to produce a new unit that will meet Ultra’s requirements to fit its novel Digital Array Module design.

14 Sep 16. EFW Inc., Fort Worth, Texas, was awarded a $102,683,670 firm-fixed-price contract for procurement of 60mm, 81mm, and 120mm mortar weapons systems. Bids were solicited via the Internet with three received. Work locations and funding will be determined with each order, with an estimated completion date of Sept. 13, 2021. Army Contracting Command, Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey, is the contracting activity (W15QKN-16-D-0054).

13 Sep 16. Raytheon Corp., McKinney, Texas, is receiving $12,606,782 for modification P00010 to a previously awarded contract (M67854-15-C-6002) for the Abrams Integrated Display and Targeting System (AIDATS). AIDATS will improve the tank commander’s situational awareness through an upgraded thermal sight, color day camera, and single stationary display. This contract will exercise subcontract line items (SLINs) 0002AA and 0002AB and contract line item (CLIN) 0017. SLIN 0002AA are low-rate initial production (LRIP) units and well as first article testing (FAT) report. SLIN 0002AB are LRIP units for government testing. CLIN 0017 is the AIDATS production year one units. All work will be performed at McKinney, Texas. SLIN 0002AA is being exercised and the expected completion date is within 330 days after option exercise. SLIN 0002AB is being exercised and the expected completion date is no later than 30 days after government acceptance of the final FAT report. CLIN 0017 is being exercised and the deliveries shall commence within 365 days after option exercise and must be completed no later than 365 days after first delivery. Fiscal 2016 procurement (Marine Corps) funds in the amount of $7,639,694; and fiscal 2014 National Guard and Reserve equipment appropriation funds in the amount of $4,967,088 are being obligated at time of award, and contract funds in the amount of $4,967,088 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The base contract was competitively procured via Federal Business Opportunities with five offers were received. The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Virginia, is the contracting activity.

Austal USA, Mobile, Alabama, is being awarded a $248,898,142 fixed-price, incentive firm target modification to previously awarded contract N00024-16-C-2217 to definitize the long lead time material of the undefinitized contract action, and to award the procurement of the detail design and construction of the 11th and 12th Expeditionary Fast Transport (EPF) vessels (formerly Joint High Speed Vessel).
