22 Dec 15. The French Defense Procurement Agency (DGA) has ordered seven additional Tiger HAD attack helicopters, bringing to 67 the total number of Tigers that will eventually be operated by the French Army Aviation. The additional Tigers will be delivered in 2017-2018.

17 Dec 15. Allen Vanguard Counter-Threat Solutions has been awarded a North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) contract to provide Scenario Development Support to the 2ndUrbanisation Project Experiment. The purpose of the NATO Urbanisation Project Experiment is to analyze the impact of future trends in an urban environment (out to 2035) on potential NATO operations. This conceptual study supports NATO’s Strategic Foresight Analysis and Framework for Future Alliance Operations. Allen Vanguard Counter-Threat Solutions provides the subject matter experts and expertise to develop a realistic and futuristic scenario of an urban environment in the year 2035. Through collaboration with NATO partners, the scenario will incorporate data on natural demographic growth, population migration, climate implications, communications, natural resources usage, energy, water, food and transportation systems. 21 Dec 15. Falanx Group Limited, an intelligence, security and cyber defence provider working with blue chip and government clients worldwide, has secured a new contract to provide cyber defence services for a major UK Government department, generating £312,000 in revenue for the Company over the next four years, with £135,000 payable over the first six months. The contract will be delivered in partnership with MDS Technologies, a cloud computing services company. Falanx will provide the Government department with high assurance systems that will enable compliance with Government requirements for monitoring secure data (GPG-13), as well as the associated processes for alerting and ticketing.

17 Dec 15. BAE Systems Technology Solutions & Services Inc., Fort Walton Beach, Florida, has been awarded a $278,500,000 firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee, and cost-reimbursable contract for the Instrumentation Radar Support Program. Contractor will provide serviceable components and subsystems to include radar, telemetry, and optics systems for 28 test ranges across the Department of Defense, Department of Energy, NASA, and seven foreign governments. Work will be performed at Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and is expected to be complete by Dec. 31, 2020. This award is the result of a competitive acquisition with one offer received. Fiscal 2016 operations and maintenance funds in the amount of $200,000 are being obligated at the time of award. The 45th Contracting Squadron, Patrick Air Force Base, Florida, is the contracting activity (FA2521-15-D-0010).

22 Dec 15. Decisive Analytics secures $1bn D3I contract from US Army. Decisive Analytics has been contracted to provide enhanced warfighter capabilities for the US Army Strategic Missile Defense Command / Army Forces Strategic Command (USASMDC/ARSTRAT).
The USASMDC / ARSTRAT D3I programme will research and develop hardware components and software solutions for space, high altitude, missile defence, information integration and data exploitation, and enhanced warfighter capabilities.
The $1.05bn, indefinite-delivery / indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract includes a base period of five years, and two optional two-year periods.
Decisive Analytics will provide missile defence, space, and other warfighter solutions for the army. The company will be involved in the development of systems and component solutions at different phases of maturity. Work is expected to be carried out at the firm’s facilities in Alabama and Colorado Springs, US. (Source: army-technology.com)
