Boeing Co., Seattle is being awarded a $277,766,178 fixed-price-incentive, firm-fixed-price, time and materials, labour hour contract modification to provide for Global Solution, restructures the NATO mid-term EMD portion of the contract (equal to an increase of $239,898,308), establishes long-lead procurement to protect production and retrofit (PAR) schedules and price (equal to an increase of $37,867,870), establishes prices options for the PAR phase of the NATO mid-term program (equal to $521,579,065). The priced options include the kits for production and retrofit of 17 NATO Airborne Warning And Control System Aircraft and two mission simulators as well as the procurement of initial and follow-on spares. Boeing will perform this effort in Seattle and other locations. At this time, $267,766,178 of the funds has been obligated. Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. This work will be completed by October 2008. The negotiations were completed in October 2002.
