10 Apr 26. The Ministry of Defence is purchasing a significant number of Skyhammer air defence systems from UK-headquartered scale-up Cambridge Aerospace, with deliveries starting from May. The company has committed to delivering these units to the MOD in the next six months.

HENSOLDT UK has secured two contracts with SRT Marine System Solutions Ltd (SRT), a UK-based civil-defence maritime surveillance systems company, to supply a total of 50 radar systems for deployment within integrated national coastal surveillance systems. The systems will be delivered by SRT, with all deliveries scheduled for 2026. The radars will support enhanced monitoring and situational awareness across coastal environments, enabling authorities to detect, track and manage maritime activity effectively.

Babcock awarded four-year contract extension for Light Aircraft Flying Task Babcock International Group (Babcock), the defence company, has been awarded a four-year extension to its Light Aircraft Flying Task (LAFT) contract, continuing its delivery of essential military flying training to the Royal Air Force (RAF). The extension reinforces Babcock’s long-standing partnership with the Ministry of Defence (MOD) enabling trainee pilots to access safe, reliable and cost-effective training. Operating seven days a week, the LAFT fleet has flown more than 775,000 hours. It supports the MOD with University Air Squadron flying training, flying experiences for RAF Air Cadets, Army and Royal Navy flying grading, and international defence flying training. Babcock will continue to provide aircraft, engineering support, asset management, air traffic control, fire and rescue, and flying instruction at multiple locations across the UK.

06 Apr 26. BAE Systems has secured a contract worth $180 million from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) for the TRIDON Mk2 anti-aircraft system. The TRIDON Mk2 is a truck-mounted 40 mm anti-aircraft gun system that addresses a gap in today’s air defence. The system has multi-target capability and can engage a wide range of aerial threats, including drones, cruise missiles and aircraft. Additionally, it can target ground threats such as armoured vehicles, providing protection and security for both military forces and civil infrastructure. (Source: PR Newswire)
06 Apr 26. Elbit Systems Ltd. (NASDAQ: ESLT) (TASE: ESLT) (“Elbit Systems” or the “Company”) announced today, further to its announcement from December 16, 2025, that as part of an agreement between the Israeli Ministry of Defense and the Hellenic Ministry of National Defense, it was awarded a contract worth approximately $750 million (€650 million) to supply Precise & Universal Launching System (PULS) artillery rocket systems to the Hellenic Armed Forces. 10 Apr 26.N Hanwha Aerospace has signed a follow-on contract with the Finnish Ministry of Defence for the additional supply of K9 Self-Propelled Howitzers (SPH), valued at approximately EUR 546 million. Under this contract, the 112 K9 units along with associated spare parts are scheduled for delivery to the Finnish Army from 2028 onwards. Finland’s continued procurement also reflects a broader trend of deepening defence cooperation between Hanwha Aerospace and Northern European nations.

Saab Inc., East Syracuse, New York, was awarded a $23,877,200 modification (P00006) to contract W31P4Q-25-C-0037 for procurement and delivery of 10 Saab Giraffe G1X radars in support of building partner capacity for the Baltic nations of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The modification brings the total cumulative face value of the contract to $70,081,820. Work will be performed in East Syracuse, New York, with an estimated completion date of February 28, 2027. Fiscal 2010 building partner capacity funds in the amount of $23,877,200 were obligated at the time of the award. Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, is the contracting activity.

The award accelerates deployment of the K1000ULE Unmanned Aerial System (UAS), a platform with a proven track record and years of dual-use operational success. X-Bow Systems Inc (X-Bow), the leading non-traditional producer of advanced manufactured solid rocket motors (SRMs), sub-orbital launch solutions and defense technologies, today announced a $12.2 million contract with AEVEX to produce rocket-assisted take-off (RATO) kits for AEVEX’s Disruptor drone. 03 Apr 26. The Indonesian Air Force, or TNI-AU, is acquiring a dozen Pilatus PC-24 twin-jet aircraft for roles such as transport pilot training, light air transport and liaison. 07 Apr 26. King Air 360C strengthens Peruvian Army’s ability to deliver emergency response and life-saving aid to remote regions. The Peruvian Army has signed an agreement to purchase a cargo door equipped Beechcraft King 360C aircraft, which is designed and manufactured by Textron Aviation Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) company, to deliver critical services for communities across the country. With its generous payload, the twin-engine turboprop will enhance the Army’s capability to perform medical evacuations, transport patients and provide rapid humanitarian aid during disaster relief efforts. The aircraft is expected to enter service in 2028.
