11 Mar 26. TrellisWare, the global leader in resilient waveforms and interoperable tactical radios, today announced that the company, through its UK partner Blacktree Technologies, has been selected by the UK Ministry of Defense (MoD) to provide TrellisWare tactical radios. The extensive evaluation and specific selection of TrellisWare’s radios and waveforms aligns perfectly with the emerging MoD waveform strategy and further demonstrates its concerted approach to affordably, yet best, modernize UK defense networks at the pace and level of scrutiny demanded by current global threats. The technological advantages of the TrellisWare product suite, coupled with the fact that the solutions are mission-proven and fully interoperable with other NATO nations’ communications systems, played a significant role in the decision for the MoD to work with TrellisWare. 09 Mar 26. Blighter (www.blighter.com), a pioneering designer and manufacturer of ground-based electronic-scanning radars, has won a contract to supply its ground surveillance radars and BlighterNexus AI-assisted software to an undisclosed Eastern European Army to protect the country’s national borders. According to Blighter, its B400 series low power (4 Watts), and very low-probability-of-intercept (LPI) radars, will be deployed imminently to fixed locations along the country’s borders and integrated onto army reconnaissance vehicles to provide a flexible mobile surveillance solution. Blighter radars operate 24 hours a day and 365 days per year in all weather, including dense fog, to detect, classify, and track targets including people, vehicles, and near-ground airborne threats at ranges of up to 32 km. The BlighterNexus software will be installed to ensure the radars are seamlessly integrated with the Army’s command-and-control (C2) networks, operator interfaces, and third-party sensors to deliver a unified display or common operating picture (COP) across multiple border regions.

11 Mar 26. Australia is dramatically expanding its fleet of cutting-edge maritime drones, with the acquisition of 40 additional Bluebottle uncrewed surface vessels (USV) set to give the nation one of the largest operational USV fleets in the world. The new vessels, to be built in Australia as part of a $176 million dollar contract, will boost Australia’s total Bluebottle fleet to at least 55, marking a significant step forward in the nation’s ability to monitor and protect its vast maritime approaches. Developed by Sydney-based defence technology company Ocius Technology, the Bluebottle is far more than a simple robotic boat. Powered by wind, solar and wave energy, the autonomous vessel can remain at sea for months at a time while conducting surveillance, reconnaissance and communications missions across huge distances.
