25 Feb 26. Airbus Defence and Space and Greenerwave Strengthen 25 Their Strategic Partnership in Satellite Communications Through Two New Contracts. Following the first contract announced at the Paris Air Show (Salon International de l’Aéronautique et de l’Espace du Bourget) in June 2025, in the presence of the French Minister for the Armed Forces, Airbus Defence and Space and Greenerwave today announce the strengthening of their strategic partnership through the expansion of their collaboration. This new milestone is marked by the signing of two additional contracts with a total value of several m euros, further reinforcing and broadening the cooperation between the two companies. These agreements reflect their mutual trust and shared commitment to developing cutting-edge technological solutions for the benefit of their end customers, notably the French Armed Forces. Through these agreements, Airbus Defence and Space is enhancing its end-to-end satellite communications (SATCOM) solutions by leveraging Greenerwave’s innovative flat-panel antennas, recognized for their multi-orbit capability and very low power consumption. This enables flexible, easily deployable, reliable, and resource-efficient solutions across demanding environments.
27 Feb 26. Rheinmetall Receives Order for Field Hospitals from Danish Ministry of Defence. At the end of 2025, Rheinmetall subsidiary Rheinmetall Mobile Systeme GmbH signed a contract with the Danish procurement authority for five Role 2 field hospitals. The contract value is in the mid double-digit m euro range and was booked in the fourth quarter of 2025. Delivery of all systems is scheduled to take place within two years. The field hospitals are divided into three Role 2B (Basic) hospitals and two Role 2E (Enhanced) hospitals. The Role 2B is fully containerized and operates as a mobile unit mounted on trucks. This ensures rapid deployment and expedited operation. The Role 2B delivery also includes a tent-based Forward Module, which can either complement the Basic system or be used independently. The Role 2B trauma system offers full diagnostic and surgical capabilities. After stabilization near battlefield regions, patients are transferred to rearward-facing units.
25 Feb 26. RTX’s Raytheon ELCAN optical systems business has secured a contract to deliver a customised version of its Specter DR 1-4x weapon sight to the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr). This production contract supports Germany’s broader initiative of modernising its soldier system, RTX said in a press statement on 25 February 2026. Raytheon ELCAN, in partnership with Leonardo Germany, will provide a configuration designed to meet specific operational demands set by the German military. The arrangement includes an integrated Aimpoint reflex sight attached above the primary optic, giving personnel the ability to shift quickly between close-quarters and mid-range combat scenarios.

The order covers a combined delivery of high-performance camera hardware and software solution for advanced motion tracking and analysis.

Global Military Products, a Global Ordnance Company, received a contract to deliver its Scorpion Light mobile mortar system through the Naval Surface Technology & Innovation Consortium for the U.S. Marine Corps. Mounted on the Polaris MRZR Alpha 6×6, the fully integrated platform enhances the mobility, lethality, operator safety and air transportability of these assets. The Scorpion Light mobile mortar system can be deployed, fire 8 rounds and relocate in less than 2 minutes, which was recently demonstrated on a range at Quantico in conjunction with the Marine Gunners Symposium. Rapid emplacement and displacement are critical for survivability on a modern battlefield, allowing mortar teams to engage targets and reposition before an adversary can return effective counter-battery fire. The Scorpion Light mobile mortar system will also incorporate an advanced digital fire control system that enables rapid, accurate targeting and re-aiming with minimal crew intervention. Marines can use the rapid-fire control system to engage multiple targets quickly and efficiently during combat operations, elevating operational efficiency, while the expanded payload of the MRZR Alpha 6×6 variant allows for 48 mortars to also be transported.

The U.S. Army has begun fielding Dark Eagle, the nation’s first operational ground-launched hypersonic weapon, with delivery expected to complete in early 2026[2]. 26 Feb 26. AeroVironment, Inc. (“AV”) (NASDAQ: AVAV), a global leader in autonomous systems and precision strike solutions, today announced receipt of a $186m delivery order from the U.S. Army for Switchblade® 600 Block 2 and Switchblade® 300 Block 20 explosively formed penetrator (EFP) loitering munition systems. The order was issued under the Army’s existing five-year, $990 million Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for Lethal Unmanned Systems (LUS), which was awarded in August 2024. Honeywell (NASDAQ: HON) today announced that the U.S. Air Force has awarded it a prototype contract for the design of a propulsion system for an autonomous aircraft, building off Honeywell’s new small-thrust-class engine: the SkyShot 1600. The SkyShot 1600 engine is designed for use in collaborative combat aircraft, and its flexible architecture allows it to be adapted for various mission profiles in either a turbojet or turbofan configuration, making it a versatile solution for modern military operators. Honeywell was awarded an Other Transaction Authority (OTA) Project Agreement by SOSSEC, Inc. to support the Air Force’s Propulsion Directorate under the Propulsion Consortium Initiative 2.0 (PCI 2.0), OTA No. FA8626-24-9-0005, between the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) and SOSSEC, Inc.
19 Feb 26. Raytheon UK, part of RTX’s (NYSE: RTX) Raytheon business, has been awarded a contract by General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) to supply its Landshield Plus GPS anti-jamming systems for the MQ-9B remotely piloted aircraft family. Under the contract, approximately 140 Landshield Plus systems will be delivered for integration across MQ-9B variants including SkyGuardian and SeaGuardian. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2026. Landshield Plus is Raytheon UK’s next-generation GPS anti-jamming antenna system, designed to protect critical navigation and timing signals in GPS-contested environments. The system detects, suppresses and rejects hostile interference, ensuring assured positioning, navigation and timing for mission-critical operations.
25 Feb 26. Textron Systems Corporation, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, announced today it was awarded a prototype agreement from the U.S. Army for the Low Altitude Stalking & Strike Ordnance (LASSO) program. Under the prototype agreement, Textron Systems will deliver a DamoclesTM loitering munition system and demonstrate it to the U.S. Army. The DamoclesTM loitering munition, equipped with Textron Systems’ advanced GEN2 Explosively Formed Penetrator (EFP), is a cutting-edge system designed to deliver decisive lethality in peer warfare environments. For the LASSO program, the Damocles system is integrated with a vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) uncrewed aircraft system (UAS) to deliver top-attack capability. In the VTOL configuration, no launch or recovery equipment is required. The Damocles system is built with a modular open systems approach (MOSA), allowing other payloads to be integrated into the system to support various concepts of operation (CONOPS), such as electronic warfare effects. For operational safety, the system includes features to prevent unexploded ordnance (UXO), reducing the risk of hazardous remnants on the battlefield.

RTX’s (NYSE: RTX) BBN Technologies has been awarded a contract by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) under its X-ray Extreme-range Non-imaging Analysis (XENA) program, aiming to enhance service members’ situational awareness in the field. The effort will produce a new class of X‑ray tools that reconstruct the hidden geometry of man-made objects from distances approaching a kilometer, giving commanders decisive insights when closer access is unsafe, impractical or denied. Under the XENA program, BBN will create a system that uses advanced mathematical modeling and image analysis to enhance the visibility of objects, even with incomplete or messy data, without needing large amounts of training examples. The team will run simulations, build the software, and test it to show how well the system can uncover important details about objects.

DroneShield (ASX:DRO), a global leader in counter-drone technology has received a package of six standalone contracts for $21.7 m from an in-country reseller for delivery to a western military end-customer. The contracts are for the supply of dismounted counter-drone systems, spare kits, and software subscriptions. All items are readily available from existing inventories and it is expected delivery will be made in Q1 2026, with payment expected in Q2 2026. No additional material conditions need to be satisfied.

ParaZero receives C-UAS order from second Israeli defence entity. additional order from a second branch at an Israeli defence entity for its DefendAir™ multi-layered counter-uncrewed aerial system (C-UAS) platform. The new order includes net-launchers designed for rapid deployment in urban and field environments, enabling soft-kill interception of hostile drones with minimal collateral damage. ST Engineering today announced its breakthrough in Qatar’s defence market through a five-year contract secured by its Land Systems business from Barzan Maintenance Shield to support the Qatar Emiri Land Forces (QELF). The €315m (about S$470m) contract covers maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services for military land platforms, workshop equipment and technical experts, alongside the implementation of digitalised MRO processes and inventory management practices. Work will commence in 2Q2026 in Qatar.

Australia announced a $310m investment to procure critical long-lead components from the United Kingdom, marking a significant step forward in delivering Australia’s nuclear-powered submarines under the AUKUS program. The funding will support the manufacture of essential elements of the nuclear propulsion systems that will power Australia’s first two SSN-AUKUS submarines, which are scheduled to be built domestically at the Osborne Naval Shipyard. Under the trilateral agreement, complete welded propulsion units will be delivered by Rolls‑Royce Submarines, with reactor production already underway at the company’s facility in Derby. The early acquisition of long-lead items is designed to ensure production schedules remain on track, preserve specialised industrial skills, and synchronise manufacturing timelines across the AUKUS partners. The $310 m investment complements Australia’s previously announced contribution of £2.4 bn over a decade to expand the UK’s nuclear submarine industrial capacity, reinforcing the deepening industrial integration underpinning the SSN-AUKUS program. Elbit Systems Ltd. will supply the HDTS – Helmet Display and Tracking System – for the Israeli Air Force’s UH‑60 Black Hawk (“Yanshuf”) helicopter fleet, to enhance operational capabilities and flight safety. The HDTS is a lifesaving, operationally proven system that provides aircrews with advanced 3D Synthetic Vision Symbology (SVS) depicting terrain, obstacles and flight plan in real time. It significantly enhances situational awareness and decision‑making in degraded visual environments including dust, precipitation, fog, smoke and night conditions, while providing critical decision support during approach and landing. Japanese micro-satellite company Axelspace has won a contract from Tri-Sat Constellation and Mitsui Bussan Aerospace to deliver optical imagery data as part of the Japanese Ministry of Defense’s (MoD) satellite constellation initiative. The arrangement appoints Axelspace as the exclusive supplier of optical imagery among the partner companies involved in the project. The MoD awarded the satellite constellation project to a consortium that includes Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation, Mitsui & Co., Synspective, Institute for Q-shu Pioneers of Space, Mitsui Bussan Aerospace, and Axelspace.
