03 Feb 26. The UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) has awarded a £40m ($54m) contract to Ultra Maritime for the supply of sonobuoys to equip the Royal Navy’s Merlin Maritime Patrol Helicopter. Ultra Maritime stated that the contract will enhance the UK’s undersea surveillance and deterrence capabilities as British waters face “increasing threat” from foreign actors. The contract covers the design, development, engineering and manufacturing of these sensors, which are used to detect, track and deter submarines and other underwater threats as part of the UK’s anti-submarine warfare (ASW) operations. 05 Feb 26. Eurofighter signs deal to develop Typhoon aerodynamic kit. Eurofighter and the NATO Eurofighter and Tornado Management Agency (NETMA) have signed a contract to progress development, testing and certification of the Aerodynamic Modification Kit (AMK) for the Eurofighter Typhoon, the organisations stated. According to Eurofighter, the AMK is intended to support faster integration of new weapons and the certification of new external loads, including future anti-radar missiles designed for the suppression and destruction of enemy air defence radars. The company said the modification kit will also support the integration of additional air-to-ground weapons and air-to-air missiles for core customer nations operating the AMK variant. Future integrations are expected to include updated standoff missile capabilities. Eurofighter stated that the AMK will also enable improvements to the aircraft’s air combat performance, including enhanced target acquisition and improved close-quarters combat capability. The changes are expected to be driven by modifications to the aircraft’s fuselage strakes, flaperons and leading-edge root, which Eurofighter said will result in increased maximum wing lift. 31 Jan 26. The Ministry of Defence has awarded a contract worth up to GBP 2.5m to Inzpire Ltd to upgrade mission support systems used on the RAF Hawk T1 aircraft. The agreement covers the provision of software to enable ‘Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast In’ capability on the Graphical Electronic Cockpit Organiser Mission Support System, known as GECO MSS, as well as ongoing support for associated tablets, base stations and software. The work is being delivered through the UK Military Flight Training Systems Hawk Delivery Team and will amend an existing single-source defence contract with the Lincoln-based company. According to a Voluntary Ex-Ante Transparency notice published on the government’s Find a Tender service, the upgrade will allow Hawk T1 aircraft to receive real-time positional data from other aircraft equipped with ADS-B, improving situational awareness during training sorties. 04 Feb 26. HENSOLDT has received several major orders from KNDS to equip combat and armoured personnel carriers with digital optronics. With a total volume of more than €400 m, the orders for the BOXER RCT 30 wheeled armoured vehicle, known as the Schakal, and the LEOPARD 2 A8 main battle tank are among the most significant for digital vision systems in the land sector. They mark another milestone on the road to software-defined defence. The focus is on an order to equip the Schakal. The contract has a volume of around 290 m euros. HENSOLDT will supply a total of 288 complete sets of digital optronics for the vehicle, which is based on the GTK-BOXER platform with the turret system of the PUMA armoured personnel carrier. Each set includes the PERI RTWL HD digital commander’s display, the WAO HD digital gunner’s display, the Multifunctional Self-Protection System (MUSS) and the associated monitors for displaying the video streams.

Hanwha Aerospace has signed a contract with the Norwegian Defence Material Agency (NDMA) to provide the Chunmoo Multiple Rocket Launcher System (MRLS) to the Norwegian Armed Forces, marking a significant milestone as the company’s first major defense contract of 2026. While the total scale of Norway’s acquisition project is budgeted at $2 bn, this specific agreement for the Chunmoo system is valued at approximately $922 m. Under the contract, Hanwha Aerospace will deliver 16 Chunmoo launch vehicles, a precision-guided missile package, and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS).
30 Jan 26. Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace (‘KONGSBERG’) and consortium partner Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ) have signed a contract with the Polish Armaments Agency for the delivery of Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (CUAS) to protect the country against the evolving threats from unmanned aerial platforms. The contract is worth about NOK 16 bn to KONGSBERG. The programme, called SAN CUAS, entails the delivery of 18 CUAS batteries. KONGSBERG and PGZ bring significant experience and complementary capabilities to SAN CUAS. The batteries will include a wide variety of effectors, including 35 mm, 30 mm, 12.7 mm guns, as well as missiles and interceptor drones and other means to counter aerial threats.
02 Feb 26. Denmark commissions Rheinmetall to supply ammunition – initial orders under framework agreement worth hundreds of millions of euros. Rheinmetall has been commissioned by Denmark, a member of the EU and NATO, to supply ammunition. The signing of a large-volume framework agreement was marked by a ceremony on 30 January 2026. The agreement has a term of seven years. It covers the supply of several types of ammunition. These include medium-calibre ammunition for infantry fighting vehicles and self-propelled anti-aircraft guns, 120 mm ammunition for main battle tanks and 155 mm ammunition for artillery.The first orders in the medium-calibre ammunition sector include various types of cartridges in 30 mm x 173 and 35 mm x 228 calibres. The total number is in the high five-digit range, with the order value in the low three-digit m euro range.

Senop has been awarded a contract by French Armament General Directorate (DGA – Direction générale de l’armement) for the procurement of Senop’s advanced fire control system, the Senop AFCD TI. The contract marks a significant achievement in the cooperation between Senop, DGA and Saab Ground Combat Unit. The acquisition of the AFCD TI is the culmination of a multi-year development and evaluation process during which Senop collaborated closely with French Armament General Directorate (DGA – Direction générale de l’armement) and Saab Ground Combat Unit. Throughout the project, Senop conducted testing, customization of the solution and validation activities to ensure full compliance with the technical requirements. As a result, DGA has chosen the most technically advanced and capable solution for their operational needs.
22 Janu 26. Following a competitive bidding process launched in spring 2025 by the DGA, Soframe’s offer was selected to supply the French Army with Heavy Recovery Vehicles (ELD – Engins Lourds de Dépannage). The corresponding framework contract has been awarded to Soframe and provides for an initial delivery of 20 units in 2027, including five before the end of the first half of the year. These Heavy Recovery Vehicles are highly anticipated by the French Army and will contribute to its objective of equipping the Combat Division by 2027. Lockheed Martin – The US State Department has approved a possible Foreign Military Sale (FMS) to Spain valued at approximately $1.7bn, which would see the mid-life upgrade of the country’s F-100 frigates and the provision of related equipment and services. Spain requested a range of systems and equipment including five shipsets of the AEGIS Weapon System, six shipsets of Digital Signal Processor, five shipsets of MK 41 Baseline VIII Vertical Launching System, and five shipsets of Next Generation Surface Search Radar. 30 Jan 26. L3Harris Technologies (LHX.N) said on Friday it had secured a U.S. Navy deal to develop Red Wolf vehicles for the Marine Corps’ precision-strike program. The Red Wolf is a long-range, precision-strike missile capable of hitting moving targets including ships at distances beyond 200 nautical miles. Raytheon, an RTX (NYSE: RTX) business, has been selected by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) to develop an advanced sensing and targeting system that will help defend vulnerable commercial shipping and naval logistics vessels against emerging threats such as unmanned surface vehicles (USVs). Under the contract, Raytheon’s Advanced Technology team will design, build, and demonstrate a system that consists of Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) sensors, advanced detection software, and robust command and control capabilities to enhance situational awareness and threat response. The system, which is being developed for DARPA’s Pulling Guard program, will deploy the sensors via a tethered drone connected to a semi-autonomous unmanned platform that is towed by commercial and naval logistics vessels. 30 Jan 26. The U.S. State Department has approved more than $6.5bn in potential military sales to Israel in three separate contracts, the Pentagon said on Friday. The U.S. State Department approved a potential sale of Joint Light Tactical Vehicle and related equipment for an estimated cost of $1.98bn, and another sale of AH-64E Apache Helicopters for $3.8bn, the Pentagon said in separate statements. A third military contract was also awarded for $740m. 26 Jan 26. The Indian Army announced on 3 January 2026 that it had awarded an INR29.3bn (US$35m) contract to local firm Nibe to deliver Elbit Systems Precise and Universal Launching System (PULS) long-range multiple rocket launchers. Nibe had executed an agreement in August 2025 for production of the PULS system in India. The agreement includes technology transfer, and it could cover future requirements for not only the Indian Army, but other potential international customers too. The Indian version of the PULS is named Suryastra, and the first example appeared in India’s Republic Day parade on 26 January. This suggests the unit was produced in only four months. (Source: AMR)

05 Feb 26. Israel Ministry of Defense Signs Approx $130m Deal with Elbit Systems to Integrate Israeli Systems on CH-53K Helicopters. As part of the preparations for receiving the CH-53K “Pereh” helicopters, the Defense Procurement Directorate (DPD) within the Israel Ministry of Defense (IMOD) has signed a deal with Elbit Systems to integrate advanced Israeli technologies, including command and control, avionics, and electronic warfare systems, and the advanced anti-missile DIRCM system, on the 12 new helicopters expected to replace the IDF’s aging “Yas’ur” helicopters. The deal, led by the Deputy Director of the DPD for Air and Sea Procurement, is valued at approximately $130 m (over NIS 400 m). Upon completion of assembly, the helicopters are expected to move to a dedicated installation and production line established for adapting the American-configuration helicopters to Israeli systems tailored to the operational requirements defined by the Israeli Air Force (IAF). The integration of Israeli systems is expected to enhance the cockpit environment, enable flight in challenging conditions, and support the identification of safe landing zones and obstacles.
