30 Dec 25. DroneShield (ASX:DRO), a global leader in counter-drone technology, today announced it has secured an $8.2m contract to supply counter-drone capabilities to a Western military end customer through an in-country reseller. The contract, placed through an in-country reseller, includes handheld counter-drone systems, associated accessories and spare kits, and ongoing software updates. The reseller is a wholly owned subsidiary of a global, publicly listed defense and technology organization responsible for distribution to the military customer within the region.
30 Dec 25. Hanwha Aerospace has signed approximately $4bn (PLN 14bn) executive contract with the Polish Armament Agency on December 29th for the supply of Chunmoo CGR-080 guided missiles. The contract, signed at the Polish Army Museum in Warsaw, marks the third executive agreement under the Homar-K framework. Notably, this contract was concluded between the Polish Armament Agency and a consortium led by Hanwha-WB Advanced system – a joint venture established by Hanwha Aerospace and Poland’s WB electronics – and Hanwha Aerospace. The CGR-080 is a 239mm caliber precision-guided missile featuring a range of 80km and a CEP(Circular Error Probability) of 15 meters. Guided by GPS/INS guidance system, these missiles will serve as the core ammunition for Poland’s Homar-K (Polish variant of the Chunmoo Multiple Rocket Launcher System). Under this contract, the guided missiles will be manufactured at a dedicated production facility within Poland operated by Hanwha-WB Advanced system. Deliveries are scheduled to commence in 2030. This initiative involves technology transfer and aims to strengthen Poland’s defence capabilities by integrating local partners into supply chain. The project is expected to create technical jobs and foster a sustainable defence ecosystem within Poland.
31 Dec 25. Saab has received an order for RBS 70 Bolide missiles from the Lithuanian Ministry of National Defence. The order value is SEK 3bn and deliveries are expected to take place 2028-2032. The order is placed within a framework agreement for Saab’s short-range air defence missile solution RBS 70 NG between Saab, the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) and the Lithuanian Ministry of National Defence. Lithuania has been a user of Saab’s short-range air defence solution RBS 70 since 2004. RBS 70 NG is also included in Saab’s vehicle-integrated mobile air defence solution (MSHORAD) acquired by Lithuania and which acts as a protective shield for moving units.

The Spanish Ministry of Defence has selected Airbus Defence and Space to lead the development and implementation of the Spanish Air and Space Force’s new combat Integrated Training System (ITS-C). The contract, led jointly by Airbus, as national coordinator for Spain, and Turkish Aerospace as the manufacturer of the HÜRJET Jet Trainer, has as its primary objective the replacement of the current F-5 aircraft fleet and the coverage of the entire advanced training process for Spanish combat pilots. This encompasses the acquisition of 30 HÜRJET Jet Trainer from Turkish Aerospace, the conversion of the fleet with Spanish content according to the customer’s requirements, the creation of an Aircraft Conversion Centre in Spain, the refurbishment of the Training Centre at the Fighter and Attack School at Talavera la Real Air Base, Extremadura, and the provision of an integrated set of operation and maintenance services at this base. The programme is divided into two stages that will take place simultaneously. The first phase involves the delivery of 30 HÜRJET Jet Trainer in their initial configuration, certification in Spain and delivery to the customer throughout 2028 and 2029. The second phase will focus on the conversion work of the 30 aircraft with national content and their subsequent delivery to the customer, scheduled for the second half of 2031 through 2035. The conversion of the first two aircraft will be carried out at the Airbus facilities in Getafe, while the other 28 aircraft will be converted at the programme’s Conversion Centre to be established in Spain.
30 Dec 25. The US government has approved the sale of the Boeing P-8A Poseidon maritime multimission aircraft (MMA) to Denmark. The US Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) announced the US Department of State approval on 29 December, saying the estimated USD1.8 bn Foreign Military Sales (FMS) acquisition covers three aircraft, as well as related equipment, training, support, and other items. Weapons were not included in the approval. With the greatest maximum take-off weight of any dedicated MMA on the market (85,139 kg), the P-8A is primarily equipped with the Raytheon AN/APY-10 maritime surveillance radar and the L-3 Wescam MX-20HD digital electro-optic/infrared sensors. It has the capacity for 126 sonobuoys and can carry the full panoply of anti-submarine and anti-surface weaponry in its internal weapons bay as well as on underwing hardpoints. In the main cabin, there is provision for seven mission crew members at six workstations, although there is plenty of room and the necessary power and cooling for expansion. (Source: Janes)
30 Dec 25. GomSpace has today been contracted by a leading European Defense company for a Space R&D program. This contract, for a total value of 50mSEK, will notably comprise the design, integration and delivery of a configured microsatellite platform and is expected to be fully executed in the summer 2027. 30 Dec 25. Saab receives order for GlobalEye from France. Saab has today entered a contract with the French General Directorate of Armaments, direction générale de l’Armement (DGA), and received an order for two GlobalEye Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) aircraft, including ground equipment, training and support. The order value is approximately SEK 12.3bn and deliveries will take place 2029-2032. The contract also includes an option for DGA to purchase two additional aircraft. GlobalEye is an advanced multi-domain AEW&C solution with an array of active and passive sensors that provide long-range detection and identification of objects in the air, at sea and over land. By providing real-time information to air forces, armies and navies, GlobalEye enables enhanced situational awareness of the surrounding areas and early detection of threats.

Terran Orbital has been selected by Lockheed Martin to provide satellite bus platforms for the Space Development Agency’s Tranche 3 Tracking Layer under the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture. The program supports the delivery of 18 missile-warning and tracking satellites designed to provide global, persistent tracking of advanced threats, including hypersonic weapons. Terran Orbital’s flight-proven satellite buses and high-rate manufacturing capabilities will enable rapid production and deployment in support of national security space missions. This selection builds on Terran Orbital’s long-standing partnership with Lockheed Martin across multiple SDA tracking layer tranches and reinforces the company’s role as a key supplier to the U.S. national security space community.
