28 Dec 25. Rheinmetall – Britain said on Sunday it signed a £52m ($70 m) joint procurement contract with Germany to acquire advanced artillery mounted on armoured vehicles that can fire while moving and hit targets more than 70 km (44 miles) away. A Ministry of Defence statement said the deal would provide the British Army with an early capability demonstrator of the RCH 155 system and two units for Germany to test. The system is manufactured by Franco-German defence group KNDS and Germany’s Rheinmetall. 22 Dec 25. Boeing Defence UK has secured a £16.9m ($22.6m) contract extension to provide continued support for the Gladiator synthetic training system. The agreement was awarded by UK Defence Equipment and Support’s (DE&S) Synthetic Environment and Training team. It will see Boeing Defence UK maintain its involvement in the programme for an additional two years and three months from 1 January 2026, with an option to extend by a further three months. 22 Dec 25. Defenture – The German national parliament has voted in favour of an order for Dutch defence OEM Defenture for the delivery of 49 of its AGF-2 and UFK mobile battlefield platforms. These vehicles will be deployed by the German Special Forces Command (Kommando Spezialkräfte, KSK) starting in 2027. The KSK has the option to order an additional 31 platforms within the framework contract. The decision marks a significant milestone after a comprehensive development and testing program carried out in close cooperation with the KSK and BAAINBw, the German central purchasing and technical agency of the Bundeswehr. The AGF-2 (combat and reconnaissance) and UFK (tactical support) are specialized configurations and were developed in collaboration with the KSK. Following the delivery of four test mobile platforms in 2024, extensive system trials were conducted worldwide by KSK and Defenture under diverse climatic conditions and terrains, including high-altitude, desert, arctic, and jungle environments. Throughout this process, both mobile platforms have demonstrated full operational capability in the most challenging terrains and extreme weather conditions, confirming their reliability and performance. 22 Dec 25. Hanwha – Estonia signs $340m deal for South Korean Chunmoo launchers. Hanwha Aerospace has expanded its defense cooperation with Estonia through a new memorandum of understanding with local firm GoCraft OÜ, as additional details emerged about Estonia’s acquisition of South Korean Chunmoo multiple rocket launcher systems and related industrial investments. According to a press release dated Dec. 22, 2025, Hanwha Aerospace signed an MOU with GoCraft OÜ to establish a local framework for technical cooperation and maintenance. The signing ceremony took place in Tallinn on Dec. 21, attended by Robert Park, head of Hanwha Aerospace’s Air Defense and Missile Launcher Systems Business Unit, and GoCraft Chief Executive Officer Tormis Saar. Under the agreement, the two companies will cooperate on transferring maintenance know-how, conducting technical training, and localizing spare parts supply. As noted by the company, the primary objective is to ensure reliable operation and security of supply for the Chunmoo systems delivered to the Estonian Defence Forces. 19 Dec 25. Rheinmetall – The German Bundeswehr is significantly expanding their Puma fleet. It has commissioned Projekt System & Management GmbH (PSM), a joint venture between Rheinmetall and KNDS Deutschland (KNDS), to supply 200 Puma Infantry Fighting Vehicles (IFVs). The corresponding amendment to the existing framework contract has now been signed at the Federal Office for Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support of the Bundeswehr (BAAINBw) in Koblenz. The contract will take legal effect in January 2026. The total gross volume of the procurement is €4,2bn gross of which KNDS will receive €2.1bn and €2.1bn will go to the Rheinmetall subsidiary Rheinmetall Landsysteme GmbH. Both companies are implementing the project as subcontractors. The first vehicles are scheduled for delivery in mid-2028. In May 2023, the BAAINBw awarded PSM GmbH a framework contract for the delivery of the Puma IFVs, with an initial order for the first 50 vehicles upon signing the contract. This contract has now been enlarged. In addition to the 200 combat vehicles ordered to date, the contract also includes the procurement of corresponding protection modules and storage containers. Furthermore, a contract amendment for the S2 construction status is planned for mid-2026. The aim is to eliminate obsolescence and implement additional capabilities such as drone defence, based on the turret of the Jackal armoured vehicle.
23 Dec 25. Rheinmetall – The Bundeswehr has commissioned Rheinmetall to supply Laser-Light-Modules for the German Armed Forces. Following the budget approval by the German Bundestag’s Budget Committee on 3 December 2025, the first definitive call-off has now been made under the framework agreement concluded in June 2021. This agreement entails the delivery of ‘LLM-VarioRay’ Laser-Light-Modules, scheduled for delivery over the next seven years. In addition, there is the option to procure further LLM-VR modules. These can be delivered additionally within the agreed time frame. This fixed call-off has a net order intake of several hundred m Euro for Rheinmetall. The devices are manufactured by Rheinmetall Soldier Electronics in Stockach at Lake Constance. This is the largest order intake in the history of the Rheinmetall subsidiary.
24 Dec 25. Saab has secured a contract from Lithuania to supply AT4 weapon and Carl-Gustaf ammunition, with the total order valued at Skr1.3bn ($141.3m). The deliveries under the contract are scheduled to take place from 2027 to 2029. The agreement falls under an existing framework contract between the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration and Saab, which allows Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia to purchase Carl-Gustaf M4 systems and ammunition as well as AT4 weapons. 22 Dec 25. Saab receives order for artillery locating radar from Sweden. Saab has signed an agreement and received an order from the Swedish Material Administration (FMV) for a number of the artillery locating radar Arthur including support for the Swedish Armed Forces. The order value is approximately SEK 1.1bn and deliveries will take place in 2027. The order includes the latest version of Saabs artillery locating radar system Arthur, with capability to warn for incoming indirect fire from a distance of up to 100 km. Saab will also perform vehicle integration of the radar systems. The agreement with FMV includes options on additional systems and support over 15 years for Sweden. The agreement is procured with possibilities for cooperative nations to join.
23 Dec 25. Saab has signed a framework agreement with the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) for the compact radar system Giraffe 1X and received an order within the agreement. The order value is approximately SEK 650m with immediate deliveries. The framework agreement includes Giraffe 1X for use in different parts of the Swedish Armed Forces. The first call-off order includes Giraffe 1X in a Compact Radar Module (CRM) configuration, which enables fast and easy installation on most platforms.

18 Dec 25. Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace (‘KONGSBERG’) has signed a contract with the Danish government for the supply of the Naval Strike Missile Coastal Defence System (NSM CDS). The contract, which has a value of more than EUR 100m, will provide Denmark with the latest technology and the most modern coastal artillery system in the world. The coastal defence system consists of KONGSBERG’s advanced fire control system, the NSM missile and launch pads. Denmark signed a contract for NSM missiles for its frigates earlier this year. 18 Dec 25. Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace (‘KONGSBERG’) has signed a contract for the delivery of ORCCA® combat system elements to four 212CD submarines for the German Navy and two for Norway. The contract has a total value of NOK 3.5bn. Earlier in December 2025, the Norwegian government announced plans to acquire two more 212CD submarines, in addition to the four that have already been ordered. The proposal is awaiting formal approval by the Norwegian parliament (Stortinget). KONGSBERG signed the contract with kta naval systems, which was established to develop combat systems for non-nuclear submarines, and to develop, produce and maintain combat systems for submarines from TKMS. 26 Dec 25. TKMS and the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) have entered into a framework agreement in Koblenz that will see TKMS deliver DM2A5 heavyweight torpedoes for use on 212CD class submarines operated by the German Navy. The contract includes development, production and delivery of both the torpedoes and associated equipment. Details regarding the value and volume of the contract have not been disclosed. Airbus – The Spanish Ministry of Defence has acquired 18 Airbus C295 transport aircraft to replace the CN235 and C212 fleets dedicated to the training of pilots and paratroopers of the Spanish Air and Space Force. The objective of this programme is to harmonise fleets and achieve maximum logistical and operational commonality with the C295 fleet currently operated by Spain.
18 Dec 25. MBDA JV receives TAURUS NEO contract to strengthen deep strike capabilities. On 18th of December 2025, TAURUS Systems GmbH (TSG), an MBDA/SAAB Joint Venture, and the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) signed a contract preparing a serial production line to produce a capability enhanced TAURUS NEO stand-off guided missile system. Against this backdrop, MBDA plans to produce large quantities in Germany. The Bundeswehr is strengthening its deep strike capability with the procurement of TAURUS NEO. This missile enables the German Air Force to overcome enemy air defence systems from a safe distance, minimizing the risks to pilots and platforms. With a range of over 500 kilometres and the highest standards in terms of precision, TAURUS makes an important contribution to deterrence and to national and allied defence. MBDA has already begun work on developing the new technologies in the framework of the TAURUS maintenance and modernization contract received in December 2024. This enhances the earliest possible availability of the first systems. In addition, the new contract provides further development of new and advanced capabilities, and the expanded production capacity of the TAURUS modular stand-off weapon.

Redwire Corporation (NYSE: RDW), a global leader in space and defense technology solutions, and The Exploration Company (TEC), a European aerospace company developing reusable, in-orbit-refuelable spacecraft, announced today they have entered an agreement for Redwire to provide two International Docking System Standard (IDSS) compliant docking systems for TEC’s flagship spacecraft, Nyx. Through this eight-figure deal, Redwire’s state-of-the-art docking system, the International Berthing and Docking Mechanism (IBDM), will support future autonomous rendezvous and docking capabilities for Nyx, contributing to Europe’s goal of strengthening autonomous access to space.

22 Dec 25. The War Department Announces First Round of FY 2026 APFIT Projects, Surpassing $1bn Awarded to Small Businesses. The War Department today announced the first round of Accelerate the Procurement and Fielding of Innovative Technologies (APFIT) projects selected for Fiscal Year (FY) 2026, marking a historic milestone in advancing defense innovation and small business engagement for the program. With this announcement, APFIT has now awarded more than $1bn to small businesses and non-traditional defense contractors across the nation, accelerating groundbreaking capabilities, strengthening the U.S. industrial base and enhancing warfighter readiness. The FY 2026 project slate represents the next wave of innovative technologies rapidly transitioning from development to fielding and initial production. These awards continue to focus on delivering mission-critical capabilities at scale while expanding opportunity for small businesses in every region, including those in traditionally underrepresented and remote states. MDA – Following the initial tranche of 1,014 awards announced December 2, 2025, the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) has made an additional 1,086 awards under the Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense (SHIELD) Multiple Award Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) Contract, with a ceiling of $151bn. In accordance with the solicitation, the Government continues with staggered awards and will work with remaining offerors accordingly. In order to utilize this critical contract vehicle in an efficient and timely manner, the Government has transitioned to the ordering phase by conducting market research and drafting Fair Opportunity Proposal Requests. SHIELD allows MDA and other DoD entities to rapidly compete orders under one flexible enterprise vehicle. Performance will occur across the United States. 19 Dec 25. Electro Optic Systems Holdings has announced a new $32m order for its R400 Remote Weapon System (RWS) to equip Light Armoured Vehicles (LAV) for a customer in North America. The LAV is being manufactured by a prime contractor, for supply to an end user in South America. The prime contractor is a large, longstanding defence manufacturing company with an investment-grade credit rating. The RWS are being supplied by EOS in a ground-to-ground configuration. The systems will be manufactured at the EOS’ manufacturing facility in Canberra, Australia, during 2026 and 2027. 22 Dec 25. L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) has received a contract from the Space Development Agency (SDA) to build 18 infrared satellites for the Tranche 3 (T3) Tracking Layer. The contract, valued up to $843m, includes ground software, operations and sustainment functions. These tracking layer satellites will enhance the SDA Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA) constellation, which is designed to protect the United States from advanced missile threats, such as hypersonic missiles. The L3Harris Tranche 3 Tracking Layer solution will provide higher resolution infrared sensing, advanced on-orbit data processing and real-time detection algorithms that will enable advanced missile tracking detection. Raytheon, an RTX (NYSE: RTX) business, announced today that it has received a contract from the U.S. Air Force to equip the autonomous X-62A Variable In-flight Simulation Test Aircraft (VISTA) with a PhantomStrike® radar. VISTA is a modified F-16D Block 30 test aircraft upgraded with Block 40 avionics, a hybrid used as a test bed integrated with machine learning and specialized software. PhantomStrike is a first-of-its-kind, air-cooled and compact fire-control radar that is smaller, lighter and requires less power than modern AESA radars. It’s designed for a wide range of platforms, including uncrewed aerial vehicles, light-attack aircraft, and rotary-wing aircraft. With digital beam forming and steering, multimode functionality and interleaved ground and air targeting, PhantomStrike delivers superior radar capability at nearly half the cost of typical fire control radars.

DroneShield Limited (ASX:DRO) (DroneShield or the Company) has received a standalone contract for $6.2m from an in-country reseller for delivery to a military end-customer in an Asia Pacific country. The reseller is a wholly-owned subsidiary of a multi-bn dollar, global, publicly listed customer that is contractually required to distribute solutions to a major Asia Pacific military government department. The solutions include selected 3rd party hardware, interoperable with DroneShield’s command-and-control software platform, DroneSentry-C2. DroneShield expects to complete the delivery and receive payment in 2026.
19 Dec 25. Raytheon has been awarded a USD15.4m contract to update the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS) under a Foreign Military Sale (FMS) to Jordan, the US Department of Defense announced on 17 December. It said the work is expected to be completed by the end of 2029 but added no further details about the programme. AFATDS is the command-and-control (C2) system used by the US military to call in fire support. The US Defense Security Cooperation Agency announced in February 2020 that the US government had approved the sale to Jordan of up to 700 AFATDS licenses and associated equipment and services worth as much as USD300m. It indicated the Jordanians were already using the system, saying “the upgrade and expansion of the AFATDS fire-control system will allow the JAF [Jordanian Armed Forces] to defend its borders and ground forces with indirect fire weapon systems”. The US Army is currently replacing its AFATDS with a new system called AFATDS Artillery Execution Suite (AXS) to make it simpler to use and enable faster engagements, as well as making it easier to update in the future. 22 Dec 25. Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace AS (‘KONGSBERG’) has entered a fifth follow-on contract with Japan to deliver the Joint Strike Missile (JSM) for its fleet of F-35A fighter aircraft. The contract is valued at more than NOK 800m. 22 Dec. 25. Textron Aviation Defense LLC, a Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) company, today announced that the company has finalized its first contract to deliver the Beechcraft T-6JP Texan II integrated training system to Japan’s Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF), in coordination with Kanematsu Corporation. The initial contract includes two Beechcraft T-6JP Texan II aircraft and instructor pilot and aircraft maintainer training materials. Deliveries of the first two aircraft are scheduled for 2029, with additional contracts anticipated.
