Serco announced the award of a new five-year contract with the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) to deliver maintenance and logistics services for EJ200 engines, which power the Royal Air Force’s Typhoon aircraft. Valued at approximately £7.8m, this contract marks a significant milestone in Serco’s continued growth in aviation engineering and defence support. Previously subcontracted through Rolls-Royce, Serco will now deliver services directly to RAF Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S), reinforcing its position as a trusted partner in military aviation. Work will be carried out at RAF Coningsby and RAF Lossiemouth, where Serco teams have long-standing experience supporting EJ200 engine maintenance.

20 Oct 25. Artec – The European defense organization OCCAR (Organisation Conjointe de Coopération en Matière d’Armement) has commissioned Artec GmbH to deliver a total of 222 Schakal infantry fighting vehicles to the armed forces of Germany and the Netherlands. This new combat vehicle combines the chassis of the Boxer wheeled armoured vehicle with the turret of the tracked Puma infantry fighting vehicle. The main contractor for the Boxer is Artec GmbH, a joint venture between Rheinmetall and KNDS Germany. 150 Schakal vehicles are to be delivered to the German Armed Forces and 72 to the Dutch Army. The total order for the German and Dutch armies is worth €3.41bn gross, with Rheinmetall’s share amounting to almost €3bn. The contract also includes a logistics package containing spare parts, training materials, and specialised tools. Furthermore, it covers optional additional services such as protection against anti-tank hand weapons, firing attack detection and firing attack identification as well as drone defence. The call-off of up to 248 additional vehicles is also included as an option.
15 Oct 25. Hanwha Aerospace has signed a three-year framework agreement with the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV). The agreement includes an initial call-off order worth approximately $110 m to supply Modular Charge Systems (MCS) for Sweden’s artillery forces. This contract was signed at the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) 2025 Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. The signing ceremony was attended by key representative including Billy Boo-Hwan Lee, Head of the PGM Business Group at Hanwha Aerospace, and Jonas Lotsne, Head of the Army Material Division at FMV. This agreement marks the second MCS supply agreement between Hanwha Aerospace and Sweden, building on a successful initial contract from last year. The deal underscores the growing strategic partnership between Hanwha Aerospace and Sweden and solidifies Hanwha’s position as a key defense partner in Northern Europe.
10 Oct 25. INVISIO has signed a framework agreement with the Netherlands Ministry of Defense that could be worth up to SEK 365m. The agreement will run initially for five years, with an option for two one-year extensions. Orders are expected to start this year. The agreement covers INVISIO’s personal communication systems for mobile users in the field and includes a wide range of products, including the new T30 and X7 headsets and several different control unit models and intelligent cables. The customer estimates the value of the agreement for the first five years at approximately SEK 260 m, rising to SEK 365 m in the event of a two-year extension. 14 Oct 25. Rheinmetall has received an order from the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) to supply highly mobile medical facilities to the German Armed Forces. The framework agreement concluded in September 2025 has an initial call-off value of over €300 m. The first of these protected, highly mobile medical facilities, which meet NATO Role 2B standards, is scheduled to be delivered to the Bundeswehr as a series model in 2029. The systems are intended for use by the German brigade in Lithuania, among others. The contract will be implemented by Rheinmetall Project Solutions GmbH.

09 Oct 25. Damen Naval has confirmed a new contract with Terma, a Danish defence technology firm, for the provision of C-Guard Decoy Launching System. The system will be installed on the Plataforma Estrategica de Superficie (PES) frigate that is currently under construction for the Colombian Navy. Equipped with Anti-Aircraft Warfare and Anti-Submarine Warfare modules, C-Guard is designed to safeguard naval vessels from range of incoming threats. (Source: naval-technology.com)
15 Oct 25. Saab – The Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) has placed an order with Saab for the concluding phase of production for two Blekinge-class (A26) submarines. The contract, valued at approximately Skr9.6bn ($1bn), also covers additional materials and services. Majority of deliveries are scheduled to be completed between 2026 and 2032. 15 Oct 25. Airbus – Germany is strengthening its defence capabilities with the purchase of 20 new Eurofighters. Under the contract, Airbus will produce the multi-role combat aircraft at its final assembly line in Manching, near Munich in Germany. The first aircraft is scheduled for delivery to the German Air Force in 2031, the last in 2034. Airbus will equip the 20 Eurofighters with the latest sensors. This includes, for example, the new electronic E-Scan radar. In parallel, Airbus will add electronic warfare capabilities to the German Eurofighter fleet by integrating the Arexis sensor suite, developed by Sweden’s Saab, in existing and newly built aircraft. These significant technological upgrades will further enhance the already broad operational capabilities of German Air Force Eurofighters.

Curtiss-Wright Corporation (NYSE: CW) today announced that it has been selected by American Rheinmetall to provide its Turret Drive Stabilization System (TDSS) for the prototype phase of the U.S. Army’s XM30 Combat Vehicle (CV) program, which was recently approved to advance to Milestone B, the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase. Curtiss-Wright’s TDSS will deliver stabilized turret system control for the XM30, enabling accurate engagement of moving targets while the vehicle maneuvers across rugged terrain. This enhanced targeting capability supports improved survivability and mission effectiveness for crews operating in highly dynamic combat environments. During the EMD phase, American Rheinmetall will produce eight prototype vehicles for government testing ahead of a planned program down-select in 2027. Curtiss-Wright’s state-of-the-art, modular TDSS is a field-proven solution with units deployed worldwide. 14 Oct 25. Boeing [NYSE: BA] has been awarded a combination of multiyear contracts valued at approximately $2.7bn to produce additional Patriot Advanced Capability‑3 (PAC‑3) seekers. Under the agreements, Boeing will deliver more than 3,000 seekers at rates of up to 750 units per year through 2030. Boeing is working closely with prime contractor Lockheed Martin and the U.S. Army to further increase production rates and meet new targets for the PAC‑3 interceptor. Scaling seeker output is critical to ensuring the Patriot system can continue to defend service members, civilians and critical infrastructure worldwide as threats proliferate.
13 Oct 25. Curtiss-Wright Corporation (NYSE: CW) today announced it has been selected by Bell Textron Inc., a Textron Inc. company, to provide encrypted flight data recorder technology that will operate over the digital backbone on the United States Army’s MV-75 FLRAA next-generation tiltrotor program (previously known as Future Long Range Assault Aircraft or FLRAA), part of the Future Vertical Lift initiative. Under the contract, Curtiss-Wright will supply Bell with a combined cockpit voice recorder (CVR) and flight data recorder (FDR) using encryption technology. Curtiss-Wright’s first phase of the program began in July 2025 and will continue through full-rate production.
13 Oct 25. The U.S. Army has awarded General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) a new contract to add a C5ISR Modular Open Suite of Standards (CMOSS)-compliant open architecture Electronic Warfare (EW) capability onto the MQ-1C Gray Eagle® Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS). This will be the third EW capability that has been integrated into the CMOSS chassis, showing how quickly and easily new plug-and-play capabilities can be integrated into the Gray Eagle platform. Other recent additions include Electronic Attack, Communications Relay, Counter-UAS, and Signals Intelligence.

14 Oct 25. Skydio, the leading U.S.-based drone manufacturer and world leader in autonomous flight technology, in partnership with Science Applications International Corp. (NASDAQ: SAIC), has been awarded $7.9m to deliver X10D small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) under the U.S. Army’s Short Range Reconnaissance (SRR) Tranche 2 Low-Rate Initial Production contract. The SRR program, managed by Program Executive Office Aviation’s Project Manager for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (PM UAS), provides infantry platoons with organic reconnaissance and surveillance capabilities. This award continues Skydio’s role as an SRR provider, transitioning soldiers from X2D/RQ28-A, fielded beginning in 2022 as part of SRR Tranche 1, to the enhanced X10D platform. This award builds on Skydio’s first delivery SRR Tranche 2 program systems, announced in May 2025. This brings Skydio’s total support of the SRR Tranche 2 program to $12.3m in FY25.

10 Oct 25. India agreed to buy multi-role missiles manufactured by Thales in the United Kingdom in a deal worth £350m ($468m), the U.K. government said on Thursday. The deal to deliver the Lightweight Multirole Missile to the Indian Army was signed during U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s two-day visit to Mumbai, paving the way for a broader partnership in complex weapons that the countries are negotiating, the British government said in a statement.
