23 Sep 25. ST Engineering Antycip (Antycip), Europe’s leading provider of simulation and virtual training solutions, has signed a landmark enterprise agreement with the UK Royal Air Force (RAF). The multi-year contract provides enterprise-wide access to advanced simulation technologies, designed to strengthen mission readiness through scalable synthetic operational training across a growing number of air programmes. Supported by MAK Technologies, Antycip’s sister company, this agreement marks a major evolution in Antycip’s long-standing partnership with the RAF. It establishes a unified simulation architecture that will underpin a wide range of distributed, high-fidelity training environments across RAF operations.

22 Sep 25. Greek defence minister Nikos Dendias has confirmed the decision to purchase a fourth defence and intervention frigate (FDI) for the Hellenic Navy. The minister made the announcement following a meeting of the Government Council on Foreign Affairs and Defense, chaired by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. He fields 1+10 enhanced capabilities. One of them are ballistic missiles, the latest type of the ELSA programme currently being developed. Atos, a global AI powered technology leader, today announces that it has been awarded a significant contract under Lot 1 (Technical Operations Services) of the European Commission’s CLOUD II Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS 2) Mini-Competition 17 (MC17) for Cybersecurity. Valued at a maximum of €326M, this contract marks one of the most important cybersecurity service agreements within Europe. As the first in the “cascade” mechanism, Atos will prioritize the delivery of essential cybersecurity services to European Union institutions, agencies, and bodies. The “CLOUD II DPS II MC17” contract is designed to procure professional services related to cloud and information systems, with a keen focus on operational support, advisory guidance, and capability development in cybersecurity. This initiative is managed by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Digital Services (DG DIGIT).

25 Sep 25. INVISIO has secured a 10-year Production Other Transaction Agreement (P-OTA) with the US Coast Guard worth up to SEK 930m. The first SEK 25 m order of INVISIO systems will be delivered in 2025. Under the agreement, INVISIO will provide wireless interface and integration systems consisting of the INVISIO Intercom system in combination with the new INVISIO Link™ wireless solution, as well as headsets, controllers, intelligent cables, training, and installation materials for all the Coast Guard’s small boats. The systems enable consistent boat crew communication, overcoming loud ambient noise and adverse weather conditions while reducing manual input for tactical communications.

Raytheon Co., Marlborough, Massachusetts, is being awarded a $497,694,942 firm-fixed-price contract (N0003925D2002) to produce, test, and deliver fully integrated Navy Multiband Terminals (NMT). The NMT is a multiband capable satellite communications terminal that provides both protected and wideband communications. The NMT provides the Navy secure, protected, and survivable communications using the Advanced Extremely High Frequency, Enhanced Polar System, Enhanced Polar System Recapitalization, Milstar Block I&II, Ultra High Frequency Follow-On/Extremely High Frequency (EHF)/Enhanced EHF, and Polar satellites. This contract combines purchases for the U.S. (86%); and the governments of Australia (6%), the Netherlands (4%), and the United Kingdom (3%), under the Foreign Military Sales Program. 25 Sep 25. Mercury Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: MRCY, www.mrcy.com), a global technology company that delivers mission-critical processing to the edge, today announced it received a $12.3m development contract from a defense prime contractor to develop an avionics subsystem for a new U.S. military aircraft. Under the three-year agreement signed in July, Mercury will develop a Communication Management Unit (CMU) control head that consolidates and manages multiple cockpit communications systems and is expected to be deployed on a new fleet of aircraft.
25 Sep 25. The Raytheon Co., El Segundo, California, is being awarded $602,900,000 for a firm-fixed-price contract for spare parts and repair of assemblies related to the active electronically scanned array radar system used in support of the F/A-18 aircraft. Work under the contract will be performed in Forest, Mississippi (75%); El Segundo, California (15%); McKinney, Texas (9%); and Andover, Massachusetts (1%). This is a five-year contract with no options and all work is expected to be completed by September 2030. This announcement involves Foreign Military Sales from Australia (9%), Kuwait (5%), and Canada (3%). Fiscal 2025 working capital funds (Navy) in the amount of $101,030,641 will be obligated at the time of award and funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. One source was solicited for this sole-source requirement pursuant to the authority set forth in 10 U.S. Code 3204 (a)(1) and one offer was received. 22 Sep 25. Serco MT&S, the mission training and satellite ground network communications software business acquired by Serco from Northrop Grumman, has been awarded a single-award indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract by the US Air Force to provide enhanced simulator and training services. MT&S is the sole awardee under the programme which has a ceiling value of up to $972m (£720m) over five years, and is expected to generate revenue of around $60m (£45m) from task orders during 2026. Under the Air Force Modelling and Simulation Support Services (AFMS3) programme, mission critical training systems and services at over 20 locations for the US Air Force will be delivered ensuring secure, efficient and advanced modelling and simulation capabilities. The programme will support synthetic training exercises, improve warfighter skills and enhance operational readiness. This significant award in the defence sector follows the acquisition of MT&S and demonstrates Serco’s strong position in the virtually enabled training and simulation support market.

This contract provides comprehensive end-to-end IT and digital services support including modernization, cybersecurity, cloud, data and artificial intelligence, enterprise management, and transformation planning in support of the Naval Air Systems Command Digital Transformation Department’s ongoing and future initiatives such as cybersecurity events, cloud adoption, emerging technologies, IT consolidation, and infrastructure improvements. Work will be performed in Patuxent River, Maryland (30%); and Warrington, Pennsylvania (70%), however the place of performance is not limited to the above locations due to the evolving, integrated and capability-focused enterprise requirements throughout Naval Air System Command and the Department of War. 25 Sep 25. Airbus – The Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) has ordered an Airbus A330 Multi Role Tanker Transport Plus (MRTT+). The A330neo-based evolution of the combat-proven, aerial refuelling and transport aircraft A330 MRTT, will be equipped with both the hose-and-drogue, and a boom, as refuelling systems. Also included is the Airbus Medical Evacuation kit solution and will come in a VVIP cabin configuration. The aircraft is scheduled to enter into military conversion at the A330 MRTT Centre in Getafe, Spain, in 2026, with final delivery to customer in 2029.
23 Sep 25. Embraer (NYSE: ERJ/ B3: EMBR3), a global leader in the aerospace industry, and SNC, a worldwide leader in aerospace and national security, today at the Air & Space Forces Association (AFA) Air, Space & Cyber Conference announced that the companies have entered into an agreement for the sale of one A-29 Super Tucano aircraft to SNC. The sale is being made in advance of a pending Foreign Military Sales (FMS) case. SNC’s early investment in this aircraft allows the companies’ foreign partner to immediately begin pilot training upon anticipated contract award. It also reduces time to Initial Operational Capability (IOC) by as much as a year. The aircraft will be manufactured at the Embraer defense production line located in Jacksonville, Florida. Over the course of a decade, SNC and Embraer have worked to deliver nearly 50 of the multi-mission combat aircraft to air forces around the globe.
26 Sep 25. India signs for additional Tejas Mk 1A light combat aircraft. India’s second batch of Tejas Mk 1A light combat aircraft is scheduled for delivery from 2027–28. (HAL) India’s Ministry of Defence (MoD) has signed a INR623.7bn (USD7bn) contract with state-owned Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) to procure an additional 97 single-engine Tejas Mk 1A light combat aircraft (LCA) for the Indian Air Force (IAF). The MoD said on 25 September that the deal features the acquisition of 68 single-seat aircraft and 29 twin seaters. It said deliveries of the second-batch Mk 1A aircraft are scheduled to start from 2027–28 and be completed within six years. The new procurement will take the IAF’s planned inventory of Tejas Mk 1A LCAs to 180. The IAF ordered an initial batch of 73 Mk 1As as well as 10 Mk 1A trainers in 2021. The MoD said the newly ordered aircraft will be equipped with locally developed core systems including control surface actuators, the Uttam active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar, and an electronic warfare suite known as ‘Swayam Raksha Kavach’. According to the MoD, the Mk 1A will feature indigenous content of “over 64%”. It added, “The project is being supported by a robust vendor base of nearly 105 Indian companies directly engaged in the manufacture of detailed components. The production is expected to generate close to 11,750 direct and indirect jobs per year for the duration of six years.” (Source: Janes)
