(NYSE: PII), has been awarded a two-year framework contract by the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) for the supply of MRZR D light tactical vehicles valued at hundreds of millions USD. Contract options could extend the agreement up to five years, enabling NATO members and partner nations to acquire the MRZR D to enhance mobility and mission readiness across a range of operational environments. This procurement approach fulfills competition requirements, streamlining the acquisition process and eliminating the need for additional, time-consuming and costly trials and competitions.
01 Sept 25. Solus Power, a pioneering UK energy technology company, has secured a contract with the Ministry of Defence’s Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA) to develop its novel, dual-use battery technology, ‘Kratos’. Having successfully won funding through DASA’s competition to find innovations that enhance operational advantage through improved self-sufficiency and energy innovation. Solus Power has been awarded funding to accelerate the development of its military-grade portable battery unit. Solus Power will work with DASA and the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) to advance development and enter field testing of the dual-use technology. As technical partner, Dstl will ensure the technology meets the needs and operational requirements for the Royal Navy’s Future Commando Force which is funding the work. Edinburgh-based maritime safety and security technology pioneer Zelim has been selected for Phase 2 of NATO’s prestigious Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA) Programme. The achievement builds on a successful first phase, which culminated in Zelim being invited to demonstrate its AI-enabled detection technology in NATO’s largest naval exercise, REPMUS. The move places Zelim among an elite group of 15 companies, advancing from the initial 75 first-phase participants. More than 2500 companies had applied to join the programme.

The trainable base, developed by Chess Dynamics, is a precision-controlled, modular platform engineered to support SEA’s decoy launcher payload. Designed for adaptability, high shock resistance and operation in harsh environments, the system delivers the precise azimuth and elevation control critical to the Ancilia system. Its robust architecture and proven performance make it ideally suited to this application, where responsiveness and reliability are critical. Denmark – Integrated Battle Command System Enabled PATRIOT, The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Government of Denmark of Integrated Battle Command System Enabled PATRIOT and related equipment for an estimated cost of $8.5bn. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress. The Government of Denmark has requested to buy thirty-six (36) PATRIOT MIM-104E guidance enhanced missile-tactical (GEM-T) ballistic missiles; twenty (20) PATRIOT Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) Missile Segment Enhancement (MSE) missiles; two (2) AN/MPQ-65 radar sets; two (2) Engagement Control Stations (ECS); two (2) Radar Interface Units (RIU) modification kits; six (6) PATRIOT M903A2 launching stations (LS); six (6) Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) Software Launcher Integrated Network Kits (LINKs); two (2) IBCS Engagement Operations Centers (EOCs); two (2) IBCS Integrated Collaborative Environments (ICE); six (6) IBCS integrated fire control network (IFCN) relays; and two (2) Electrical Power Plants III (EPP III). 02 Sep 25. Saab – Sweden’s FMV, Czech Republic extend Gripen lease until 2035. The Czech Republic will bring down the number of Gripen C/D aircraft from 14 to 12 aircraft during 2027 to 2035 period. The Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) has finalised a contract extension with the Czech Republic to maintain the lease, operation, and support of Gripen C/D aircraft through 2035. Since 2004, the Czech Republic has been leasing Gripen C/D aircraft from Sweden. The latest agreement marks the second extension. From 2027 to 2035, the Czech Republic will decrease its fleet of leased aircraft from the current 14 Gripen C/Ds to 12, stated FMV. The updated contract also includes provisions for modernising the aircraft fleet to ensure it remains effective against evolving threats. The decision follows approval by the Czech Ministry of Defence in June this year, endorsing Sweden’s proposal for the lease extension of the Saab JAS-39 Gripen multirole combat aircraft. The U.S. Army awarded Lockheed Martin a $9.8bn multiyear contract to produce nearly 2,000 of the most advanced variant of the Patriot air and missile defense missile, the service announced in a Wednesday joint signing ceremony at Lockheed’s Grand Prairie, Texas, facility. The contract marks the largest deal in the history of the company’s Missiles and Fire Control unit. The agreement covers the fiscal years 2024 through 2026 and calls for the procurement of 1,970 Patriot Advanced Capability-3 Missile Segment Enhancement interceptors and associated hardware for the U.S. and allies, according to the service’s statement. 02 Sep 25. Scout AI Awarded Army UxS Autonomy Contract. Scout AI Inc. (“Scout”) today announced it has been awarded a major contract under the U.S. Army’s Unmanned Systems (UxS) initiative, a large Army effort to advance ground autonomy. Under the contract, Scout will integrate its autonomy platform, Fury, onto Army furnished Infantry Squad Vehicles (ISV’s), demonstrating the full range of UxS autonomy requirements. The program spans a 16-month performance period, after which the Army may procure units up to $150m in contract value. Scout applauds the Army’s bold leadership in making UxS the first program to rapidly field a new generation of AI-driven, mission-ready ground autonomy solutions. At the core of Scout’s solution is Fury, a multi-domain foundation model for defense robots. Fury is a fully learned, camera-only autonomy system that combines Vision-Language-Action (VLA) reasoning with high-rate commercial off-the-shelf hardware. Newport News Shipbuilding, Newport News, Virginia, is awarded a $98,459,990 cost-plus-incentive fee modification to previously awarded Contract (N00024-21-C-2106) for USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) Refueling Complex Overhaul for supplemental work and special incentives for improved facilities at Newport News Shipyard. This modification includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this modification to $110,959,990. Work will be performed in Newport News, Virginia, and is expected to be completed by October 2026. Fiscal 2025 shipbuilding and conversion (Navy) funds in the amount of $15,000,000 (55%); and fiscal 2025 operations and maintenance (Navy) funds in the amount of $12,500,000 (45%), will be obligated at time of award and funds in the amount of $27,500,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Raytheon Missiles and Defense, Tucson, Arizona, is awarded a not-to-exceed $380,000,000 firm-fixed-price and cost-plus-fixed-fee undefinitized contract action modification to a previously awarded contract M67854-25-C-0111 for Medium Range Intercept Capability (MRIC). The total cumulative face value of the contract is $412,519,000. The contract modification is for the full rate production scope of the MRIC requirement. This work will be performed in Tucson, Arizona, with an expected completion date of Aug 28, 2028. Fiscal 2025 procurement (Marine Corps) funds in the amount of $70,000,000 are obligated at the time of award. The Project intends to modernize the ADF in the face of new technology and an evolving threat landscape. 03 Sep 25. The U.S. Army awarded the Javelin Joint Venture (JJV) a follow-on fiscal year 2025 production contract for Javelin® missiles and associated equipment and services with a total value not to exceed $900.5m. In addition, Brazil and Tunisia are included in the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) as a part of this contract, a pivotal JJV milestone as they are the first Southern American and North African Javelin users, respectively. This is a follow-on award that is part of an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity production contract that was initially awarded in May 2023. Earlier this year, the Javelin team started employing new tooling and test equipment to improve the efficiency of the Javelin production line to support the increased production rates.

The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Government of Ukraine of Patriot Air Defense System Sustainment and related equipment for an estimated cost of $179.1m. The Government of Ukraine has requested to buy equipment and services to support sustainment of its Patriot air defense systems. The following non-MDE items will be included: classified and unclassified spare parts; maintenance support; classified and unclassified software and software updates; system modifications and associated modification kits; test equipment; communication equipment and associated accessories; integration services; repair and return; storage; tooling; Field Surveillance Program; International Engineering Services Program; maintenance support equipment; U.S. Government and contractor representative technical assistance; training; engineering and logistics support services; classified and unclassified publications and technical documentation; classified software; and other related elements of logistics and program support. The estimated total program cost is $179.1m. This proposed sale will support the foreign policy and national security objectives of the United States by improving the security of a partner country that is a force for political stability and economic progress in Europe. The proposed sale will improve Ukraine’s ability to meet current and future threats by further equipping it to conduct self-defense and regional security missions with a more robust air defense capability. Ukraine will have no difficulty absorbing these articles and services into its armed forces. The proposed sale of this equipment and support will not alter the basic military balance in the region. The principal contractors will be RTX Corporation, located in Arlington, VA; and Lockheed Martin, located in Bethesda, MD. At this time, the U.S. Government is not aware of any offset agreement proposed in connection with this potential sale. Any offset agreement will be defined in negotiations between the purchaser and the contractor. 01 Sep 25. SCD (Semiconductor Devices), a global leader in infrared sensors, has signed a multi-year strategic contract with the Israel Ministry of Defense (IMOD). The agreement, signed under the “Blue & White” initiative, supports Israel’s national goal of strengthening domestic defense industries and securing access to the most advanced technologies for future defense needs. The strategic program, valued at approximately $115m, focuses on a substantial expansion of SCD’s cleanroom facilities and manufacturing infrastructure. It will enable the development and production of next-generation infrared (IR) sensors across the full IR spectrum – SWIR, MWIR, and LWIR. As part of this initiative, SCD will double its current production capacity, with a strong emphasis on both cooled and uncooled IR detectors. The investment will bring in cutting-edge fabrication methods and advanced IR semiconductor technologies, positioning SCD at the forefront of global infrared innovation.

28 Aug 25. Cellula Robotics has confirmed the sale of a Guardian autonomous underwater vehicle to an undisclosed defence customer. The commercial off-the-shelf autonomous underwater vehicle is reportedly designed for ultra long-range missions of up to 5,000-kilometre missions. The 12 metre-long, 1.7-metre wide system, the largest of the company’s AUV products, can reportedly release payload and off-platform assets with precision through and enabled by hovering and station-keeping capability.
