Curtiss-Wright announced it has been selected by Rheinmetall Landsysteme Germany (RLS) to provide its modular turret drive stabilization system (TDSS) technology in support of the KF51 Panther Main Battle Tank (MBT). The KF51, a highly advanced and capable main battle tank, is designed to meet the demands of modern warfare. Curtiss-Wright’s highly precise, modular TDSS system is an ideal match for these newly modernized platform requirements. 13 Aug 25. Elbit Systems Ltd. (NASDAQ: ESLT) (TASE: ESLT) (“Elbit Systems” or the “Company”) has been awarded $1.635bn contract to deliver a range of defense solutions to a European country. The Implementation of the contract is expected to span over a 5-year period. The contract includes two groups of technologically advanced solutions from Elbit Systems. These solutions are based on the Company’s cutting-edge technologies and portfolio and include embedded AI technology, among others. The first group includes long-range precision strike artillery-rocket systems and a broad-spectrum of unmanned reconnaissance and loitering aerial combat systems, from operational to tactical ranges, including personally operated drones. The second group includes, among others, highly sophisticated ISTAR capabilities, including SIGINT, COMINT and electronic warfare systems. Enabled intelligence collection and processing systems will also be delivered, along with advanced electro-optical (E/O) and night-vision systems, combat vehicle upgrade, and protective systems. In addition, Elbit Systems will deliver comprehensive military digitalization and Network Combat Solution, based on the last software generation and cutting-edge hardware communication equipment. This includes intelligence solutions from the C4ISR suite of command-and-control applications. This integrated solution covers all operational levels, spanning from the strategic army headquarters down to the tactical level, to the last combat vehicle.
13 Aug 25. Czech Republic commissions Rheinmetall to maintain Leopard 2 main battle tanks and Büffel 3 armoured recovery vehicles – contract worth up to €250m. The Czech Ministry of Defence has commissioned Rheinmetall to provide extensive service and maintenance work for the Leopard 2A4 main battle tank and the Bergepanzer 3 “Büffel” armoured recovery vehicle. A corresponding comprehensive follow-up service contract was signed in Prague on 11 August 2025. The contractor is Rheinmetall Landsysteme GmbH. The contract now concluded has a term of seven years. It covers various services and goods for the maintenance of 42 Leopard 2A4 main battle tanks and two Bergepanzer 3 Büffel (“buffalo”) armoured recovery vehicles. The contract value amounts to up to EUR 250m. The services include the initial and follow-up supply of spare parts, customer service support, factory and assembly repairs, training services, technical and logistical support, the provision of interim infrastructure, and the corresponding project management. Rheinmetall Landsysteme GmbH also intends to cooperate with Czech industry in fulfilling the contract and to award corresponding subcontracts. The focus here will be on repair and maintenance support, including the necessary transfer of know-how. To this end, a letter of intent was also signed on 11 August 2025 with the Czech state-owned company VOP CZ s.p. in the presence of representatives of the Czech Ministry of Defence. Under various contracts, the Czech Armed Forces will receive a total of 42 Leopard 2A4 battle tanks and two Büffel (“buffalo”) armoured recovery vehicles. Rheinmetall refurbished and delivered these vehicles for the Czech Armed Forces, partly on behalf of the German Federal Government and partly on behalf of the Czech Government.

14 Aug 25. The Polish Ministry of National Defence has finalized a Letter of Offer and Acceptance (LOA) with the U.S. government to modernize its fleet of 48 F-16 Block 52+ aircraft to the advanced F-16 Viper configuration, also known as the F-16V. Lockheed Martin [NYSE:LMT] will serve as the primary contractor for the modernization effort, which will significantly enhance the capabilities of Poland’s F-16 fleet, ensuring its continued relevance in supporting NATO’s collective defense and regional security.
The modernization package includes the integration of:
- APG-83 Active Electronically Scanned Array Scalable Agile Beam radar
- A high-resolution Center Pedestal Display
- An upgraded Mission Computer and a new Display Generator
Additional upgrades comprise:
- Advanced helmet-mounted devices
- Electronic warfare enhancements
- The Sniper Advanced Targeting Pod with Digital Video Interface
- The Automatic Ground Collision Avoidance System
- Structural modifications that will extend the aircraft’s service life to 12,000 flight hours
The agreement, which also includes simulator upgrades, builds on Lockheed Martin’s 20-year partnership with the Polish Air Force and aligns with the country’s long-term defense modernization roadmap. Lockheed Martin will partner with Wojskowe Zakłady Lotnicze No. 2 (WZL-2) to perform the upgrade work in-country, leveraging local expertise and facilities. This effort will also foster workforce development and deepen cooperation with Polish defense industry partners, contributing to the growth of the Poland’s defense sector. During the past decade, Lockheed Martin has invested $1.8bn in Poland’s defense ecosystem, working with local industry to expand supply chain capacity and accelerate delivery of critical systems.

08 Aug 25. Galvion Technologies LLC,* Portsmouth, New Hampshire, was awarded a $131,396,295 firm-fixed-price indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for the Integrated Helmet System. This contract provides for the procurement of Integrated Helmet System with associated components and accessories. The ordering period will be a maximum of five years and is expected to be completed in August 2030. Work will be performed in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. No funds will be obligated at time of award. Funds will be obligated on individual task/delivery orders as they are issued. The requirement was procured under the authority of 10 U.S. Code 4022(f) as a follow-on agreement to the prototype agreement (M67854-20-9-1001). 15 Aug 25. Lockheed Martin Corp., Grand Prairie, Texas, was awarded a $4,234,948,956 modification (P00013) to contract W31P4Q-23-D-0003 for production of the Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System. The total cumulative face value of the contract is $13,265,440,935. Bids were solicited via the internet with one received. Work locations and funding will be determined with each order, with an estimated completion date of Oct. 20, 2027. Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, is the contracting activity.
11 Aug 25. Mack Defense has been awarded a new five-year contract to continue production of the U.S. Army’s M917A3 Heavy Dump Truck (HDT) for up to 450 trucks with a total contract value up to $221.8m. This new agreement follows the successful fulfillment of the initial contract awarded in 2018 and comes after the company recently celebrated the production of its 500th M917A3 HDT in March 2025.
11 Aug 25. MORSE Corp (MORSECORP Inc.) is proud to announce that it has been awarded a $48,054,384 firm-fixed-price Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) by the US Army Product Manager, Force Sustainment Systems (PM FSS) in Natick, MA, to develop novel long range autonomous aircraft that can operate in GPS-denied Anti-Access/Area Denial (A2/AD) environments. This agreement’s five-year performance period will enable the Army to significantly enhance its Contested Logistics capabilities. In addition to development and rapid prototyping of novel unmanned aerial systems (UAS), this work will include advancements in GPS-denied navigation technologies, and an array of mission planning and execution tools. The work will culminate in a series of independent test and evaluation events and will transition into rapid scale up of initial manufacturing.

04 Aug 25. Vaya Space selected for $1.2m AFWERX Phase II contract to advance hypersonic propulsion. Vaya Space has been selected by AFWERX for a SBIR Phase II in the amount of $1,236,406 focused on the development of the Hybrid-Fueled Ramjet, a throttleable and restartable hypersonic missile propulsion system, to address the most pressing challenges in the Department of the Air Force (DAF). The Air Force Research Laboratory and AFWERX have partnered to streamline the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) process by accelerating the small business experience through faster proposal to award timelines, changing the pool of potential applicants by expanding opportunities to small business and eliminating bureaucratic overhead by continually implementing process improvement changes in contract execution. The DAF began offering the Open Topic SBIR/STTR program in 2018, which expanded the range of innovations the DAF funded, and now on July 9, 2025, Vaya Space will start its journey to create and provide innovative capabilities that will strengthen the national defense of the United States of America. The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Government of Canada of Joint Light Tactical Vehicles and related equipment for an estimated cost of $160m. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress. The Government of Canada has requested to buy a fleet of up to sixty (60) Joint Light Tactical Vehicles (JLTVs); and up to nine (9) JLTV cargo trailers. The following non-MDE items will also be included: communication equipment; mobility equipment; lethality and survivability enhancements; spare and repair parts; special tools and test equipment (STTE); technical manuals and publications; maintenance trainers; new equipment training; total package fielding support; depot level maintenance/repair and return support; U.S. Government and contractor technical, engineering, and logistics personnel services; and other related elements of logistics and program support. The estimated total program cost is $160m. This proposed sale will support the foreign policy and national security objectives of the United States by helping to improve the military capability of Canada, a NATO Ally that is an important force for ensuring political stability and economic progress, and a contributor to military, peacekeeping, and humanitarian operations around the world. The proposed sale will improve Canada’s ability to meet current and future threats and enhance its ability to operate in more complex and rapidly changing environments. The proposed sale would also contribute to increased burden-sharing with allies and partners in support of peace operations and peacekeeping around the world. Canada will have no difficulty absorbing these articles and services into its armed forces. The proposed sale of this equipment and support will not alter the basic military balance in the region. 12 Aug 25. BlackSky Technology Inc. (NYSE: BKSY) secured a two-year Gen-3 early access agreement with a new international customer that initiated a Gen-2 On-Demand contract in January. The rapid expansion commitment illustrates the tremendous operational value and growing demand for combined Gen-3 very high-resolution imagery and Gen-2 low-latency, high-cadence dynamic monitoring services. The proven on-orbit operational and technical heritage of the Gen-2 constellation has been leveraged into the design and operations of Gen-3. Gen-3 satellites generate high-cadence, time diverse 35-centimeter imagery that enables automated identification and classification of a wide library of vehicles, aircraft, vessels and other objects of military interest, enhancing the value of BlackSky’s current Gen-2 dawn-to-dusk dynamic monitoring services.
14 Aug 25. Nigeria – Munitions, Precision Bombs, and Precision Rockets. The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Government of Nigeria of Munitions, Precision Bombs, and Precision Rockets and related equipment for an estimated cost of $346m. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale today. The Government of Nigeria has requested to buy one thousand two (1,002) MK-82 general purpose 500 lb bombs; one thousand two (1,002) MXU-650 Air Foil Groups (AFGs) for 500 lb Paveway II GBU-12; five hundred fifteen (515) MXU-1006 AFGs for 250 lb Paveway II GBU-58; one thousand five hundred seventeen (1,517) MAU-169 or MAU-209 computer control group (CCG) for Paveway II GBU-12/GBU-58; one thousand two (1,002) FMU-152 joint programmable fuzes; and five thousand (5,000) Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System II (APKWS II) all-up-rounds (AURs) (consisting of one each WGU-59/B guidance section (GS); high-explosive warhead; and MK66-4 rocket motor). The following non-MDE items will also be included: FMU-139 joint programmable fuzes; bomb components, impulse cartridges, and high-explosive and practice rockets; integration support and test equipment; U.S. Government and contractor technical, engineering, and logistics personnel services; and other related elements of logistical and program support. The total estimated program cost is $346m. This proposed sale will support the foreign policy goals and national security objectives of the United States by improving the security of a strategic partner in Sub-Saharan Africa. The proposed sale will improve Nigeria’s capability to meet current and future threats through operations against terrorist organizations and to counter illicit trafficking in Nigeria and the Gulf of Guinea. Nigeria will have no difficulty absorbing these munitions into its armed forces. The proposed sale of this equipment will not alter the basic military balance in the region. The principal contractors will be RTX Missiles and Defense, Tucson, AZ; Lockheed Martin Corporation, Archibald, PA; and BAE Systems, Hudson, NH. At this time, the U.S. Government is not aware of any offset agreement proposed in connection with this potential sale.
