This follows the Memorandum of Understanding announced in 2023 between Allison and Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ) for the cooperation on tracked vehicle programmes and the expansion of Allison’s Authorised Service Network in Poland.
16 Jul 25. IDV secures NSPA contract to deliver integrated RAS capability. The project aims to merge UGVs and UASs within a unified, advanced C2 system. 16 Jul 25. The Nato Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) has awarded Iveco Defence Vehicles (IDV) a three-year contract to develop and test concepts for robotic and autonomous systems (RAS). The goal is to deliver an integrated RAS capability designed for complex, real-world combat scenarios. The overarching aim of this initiative is to craft a comprehensive RAS strategy and establish detailed implementation roadmaps for adopting RAS technologies in military service. 16 Jul 25. Terma has signed an agreement with the Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO) to deliver 32 modern coastal surveillance radars. The new systems will replace the current radar infrastructure, ensuring continued maritime domain awareness and sovereignty protection across Danish waters. Deliveries will take place throughout 2025 and 2026. The radar upgrade will enhance Denmark’s ability to monitor maritime traffic, respond to potential threats against critical infrastructure, and protect the marine environment. The systems will also support the Vessel Traffic Service (VTS), which coordinates the safe passage of ships through major Danish straits.

11 Jul 25. Lockheed Martin has decided to outfit the German Air Force’s (Luftwaffe) C-130J Super Hercules aircraft with Leonardo’s Miysis Directed Infrared Countermeasures (DIRCM) system. This decision followed a competitive process conducted by Lockheed Martin, which assessed the Luftwaffe’s detailed specifications before selecting the Miysis DIRCM for implementation. Miysis DIRCM will be deployed on six Luftwaffe’s KC-130J and C-130J-30 aircraft as per terms of the contract, which also covers the integration of countermeasure systems. 14 Jul 25. Sikorsky – Norway – HH-60W Helicopters. The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Government of Norway of HH-60W Helicopters and related equipment for an estimated cost of $2.6bn. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale today. The Government of Norway has requested to buy up to nine (9) HH-60W helicopters; twenty-two (22) T-700-GE-401 turboshaft engines; twenty-one (21) Embedded Global Positioning System/Inertial Navigation Systems (GPS/INS) (EGI) (18 installed, 3 spares); ten (10) AN/APR-52 Radar Warning Receivers (RWR) (9 installed, 1 spare); and ten (10) AN/AAR-57 Common Missile Warning Systems (CMWS) (9 installed, 1 spare). The following non-MDE items will also be included: GAU-21 aircraft machine guns and other machine guns; IZLID 200P infrared lasers; AN/ALE-47 Airborne Countermeasures Dispenser Systems; Joint Mission Planning System with unique planning components and software; Computer Program Identification Numbers (CPINs); weapons and weapons support equipment; major and minor modifications and maintenance support; instruments and lab equipment; training aids, devices, and spare parts; consumables, accessories, and repair and return support; electronic warfare database support; classified and unclassified software delivery and support; classified and unclassified publications and technical documentation; personnel training and training equipment; aircraft ferry and transportation support; facilities and construction support; studies and surveys; U.S. Government and contractor engineering, technical, and logistics support services; and other related elements of logistics and program support. This proposed sale will support the foreign policy goals and national security objectives of the United States by improving the security of a NATO Ally that is a force for political stability and economic progress in Europe. The proposed sale will improve Norway’s capability to meet current and future threats by increasing its airborne combat and special operations capabilities. Norway will use these aircraft to defend other NATO members and its allies. Norway will have no difficulty absorbing these articles and services into its armed forces. The proposed sale of this equipment and support will not alter the basic military balance in the region. The principal contractor will be Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, located in Stratford, CT. At this time, the U.S. Government is not aware of any offset agreement proposed in connection with this potential sale. 15 Jul 25. Skydio, the leading Western drone manufacturer and world leader in autonomous flight, has been awarded an initial tender totaling 101m Norwegian Kroner (approximately $9.4m USD) to supply autonomous small uncrewed aerial systems (sUAS) to the Royal Norwegian Ministry of Defence. Thales has been awarded a landmark contract by Finland’s VTT to provide its advanced UTM solution, TopSky – AstraUTM, as a first step of an ambitious programme to enable safe and efficient air mobility operations across Finland. 16 Jul 25. Mercury Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: MRCY, www.mrcy.com), a technology company that delivers mission-critical processing to the edge, today announced it signed two agreements with a European defense prime contractor to expand and accelerate production of processing subsystems and components for radar and electronic warfare missions.
In June, Mercury extended this decades-long customer relationship with a five-year agreement that will enable faster, higher-volume production of sensor processing subsystems powered by Mercury’s HDS6605 6U OpenVPX multiprocessing boards for airborne, land-based, and sea-based radar systems. Earlier this month, Mercury signed an expanded production agreement with the same customer to deliver Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit (MMIC) products that support electronic warfare sensors. 14 Jul 25. American Robotics’ Kestrel awarded US public events safety contract. Ondas Holdings’ wholly owned subsidiary American Robotics has secured a purchase order from a “major urban public safety organisation” in the United States for its Kestrel drone detection system.
The Kestrel system is available in both active and passive detection configurations, supporting fixed and mobile applications. It can also be integrated with American Robotics’ Optimus System to support fully remote autonomous drone operations, when Optimus is deployed for aerial security and inspection. 17 Jul 25. Honeywell (NASDAQ: HON) has been selected by the U.S. Department of Defense’s (DOD) Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) to participate in the Transition of Quantum Sensing (TQS) program. The program aims to accelerate adoption of quantum sensors to address near-term alternative position, navigation and timing (PNT) and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) applications for the U.S. Joint Forces Command. Honeywell has been chosen to support the TQS program under two DOD contracts: CRUISE (Compact Rubidium Unit for Inertial Sensing and Estimation) and QUEST (Quantum Enabled Sensor Technologies for MagNav). The CRUISE program, established by the DOD in partnership with Vector Atomic, will focus on developing quantum sensor-based Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs) to provide a standalone navigation solution without relying on traditional Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) susceptible to jamming and spoofing. Honeywell will support the development of this quantum-sensor-based technology, which will enable the measurement of acceleration and orientation from an IMU mounted to a vehicle to calculate changes in position and velocity. As a result, it will meet next-generation performance requirements at a lower size, weight and power than existing products.
14 Jul 25. Moog Enters Contract for Year Two Spares in Support of U.S. Army SGT Stout Program. In a significant move that underscores its commitment to national defense, Moog has inked a new contract with Leonardo DRS for a year two SGT Stout comprehensive spares order. This significant business supports all fielded U.S. Army SGT Stout systems, a critical component of our nation’s defense infrastructure. Moog will deliver spares through June 2026 per the contract agreement. The Canadian Government has granted CACI – Federal business two contracts with a cumulative value of C$169.19m ($123.61m) for Phase II of the counter uncrewed aircraft system (CUAS) urgent operational requirement (UOR) project. The capability is intended to support members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) deployed in Operation Reassurance. 14 Jul 25. Filtronic (FTC) has landed another big contract, and it is not linked to Elon Musk’s SpaceX this time. The radiofrequency specialist has signed a £13.4mn deal to supply high-performance modules for an advanced electronic sensor system used in military and aerospace applications. The company said the contract involves the complex manufacturing and testing of key components, with deliveries scheduled to begin in mid-2026. Production will take place at Filtronic’s new hybrid microelectronics facility in Sedgefield, County Durham.

15 Jul 25. Galvion receives further follow-on Batlskin Caiman order of 5000 helmets, for the Canadian Dismounted Infantry Capability Enhancement (DICE) programme. Galvion, a world leader in innovative head protection systems and power and data management solutions, has received a second follow-on order from the Department of National Defence (DND) Canada for its flagship Batlskin Caiman® ballistic helmet systems. This latest order for an additional 5000 helmets with two (2) helmet covers each, is expected to deliver in early 2026. The original Canadian Dismounted Infantry Capability Enhancement (DICE) programme contract was awarded in February 2023 for 2,100 helmets and 4,200 helmet covers. In July 2024, year two of a five-year framework contract, the DND exercised an option to order an additional 8,400 helmets and 16,800 helmet covers taking the total Canadian DICE order to 10,500 helmets and 21,000 covers, all successfully delivered. With this latest follow-on order, the DICE totals now total over 15,000 helmets and 30,000 covers, all ordered within three years of the five-year framework. by our recent European Production Hub opening ceremony, in Poland.”
