09 Jun 25. The United Kingdom’s Ministry of Defence has signed a support and sustainment contract with General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) for logistics and maintenance of the Protector RG Mk1 Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) system. The contract — known as the UK Protector Availability and Support Solution or UK PASS — will provide ongoing support for the new Protector RPA systems supplied by GA-ASI and now being operated by the UK’s Royal Air Force (RAF). The Protector RPA is based on GA-ASI’s MQ-9B SkyGuardian®. UK PASS is a Direct Commercial Sale contract and includes support for the Protector program’s RPA, the Certifiable Ground Control Stations and the Synthetic Training Systems.

12 Jun 25. Serco, the provider of services and support to governments internationally, has been awarded three contracts to continue to support the US Air Force in Europe (USAFE) at their key bases in the UK, following a competitive process. In total the contracts are valued at c.£24m over their lifetimes. The three contracts are:
- Delivery of transportation and supply services across three UK USAFE sites in support of the USAFE 501st CSW: RAF Alconbury; RAF Molesworth; and RAF Croughton for up to five and a half years from September 2024. Historically referred to as the AMC contract (Alconbury, Molesworth and Croughton) contract, in an acknowledgement of the three RAF bases being supported, Serco has been delivering these diverse services to support the USAFE since 2003 and this was the fifth time that the company has successfully rebid the contract.
- A new contract for the provision of aircraft fuelling and ramp services at RAF Fairford for up to five years.
- A new contract for the provision of security services for USAFE 501st CSW at RAF Blenheim Crescent for up to two years

Bittium Wireless Ltd, a subsidiary of Bittium Corporation, has received a purchase order from the Finnish Defence Forces for the software-defined radio-based Bittium Tactical Wireless IP Network™ (TAC WIN) system’s products and Bittium Tough Comnode™ communication devices and related accessories. The products will be used by all troops of the Finnish Defence Forces to support the combat doctrine where mobility, leading the troops on the move, and effective communications play a key role. The purchase order has been issued under the Partnership Agreement between Bittium and the Finnish Defence Forces. The Partnership Agreement applies to the years 2025–2036 and establishes a framework for purchasing Bittium’s products, software, and services. The purchases are planned together with the Finnish Defence Forces for each year. The Finnish Defence Forces will issue separate purchase orders for the products and services in several batches according to what has been agreed in the Partnership Agreement. The value of the purchase order received now is approximately EUR 7.9 m. The ordered products will be delivered during the years 2025 and 2026.
11 June 25. Daimler Truck has won a major contract from BwFuhrparkService, the Bundeswehr’s mobility service provider. The order comprises the delivery of a mid-three-digit number of Mercedes-Benz Arocs logistics vehicles. In accordance with the current procurement strategy of the German federal government, the trucks are to contribute to improving military transport capacities for national and alliance defence. The vehicles are to be delivered by the end of May 2026.

The German government has decided to acquire the Joint Strike Missile for its F-35 fighter jets in an agreement that is expected to be worth about NOK 6.5 bn for Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace (‘KONGSBERG’). An undefinitized contract was awarded in August of 2024, allowing American Rheinmetall to begin production while final price negotiations continued. 10 Jun 25. Avon Protection business unit has received a delivery order worth $18.3m from the US Department of Defense (DoD) for the M50 Joint Service General Purpose mask and related carriers. This order was issued pursuant to Avon Protection’s existing M50 framework contract. Avon Protection provides a critical national defence capability to the DoD as the sole supplier of its M50 CBRN respirator, which provides full-face protection against CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear) threats. 10 Jun 25. BAE Systems has been awarded a $1.2bn contract by U.S. Space Systems Command to provide the U.S. Space Force with missile tracking satellite capabilities. BAE Systems will serve as the prime contractor for the Resilient Missile Warning & Tracking (RMWT) – Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) Epoch 2 program and will design and build 10 spacecraft over the agreement, including a four-year delivery for the space vehicles plus another five years of operations and support. The program will provide resilient, space-based missile warning and tracking of ballistic missiles and advanced threats, such as hypersonic glide vehicles. BAE Systems will also develop the ground system that will manage the satellite constellation by delivering mission management, command and control (C2) and mission operations solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
