14 Jul 16. ALA – Advanced Logistics for Aerospace at Farnborough International Airshow 2016. ALA, Italian specialist in distribution, logistics and service provision for the aerospace industry, consolidated its acquisition of the Anglo-French STAG Group through the participation at the Farnborough International Airshow 2016.
The acquisition combines the strengths of ALA and STAG and will leverage both companies’ industry expertise and geographical footprint. The STAG Group acquisition strategically fits with ALA’s priorities of European expansion and development of the market in the US, and reinforces ALA’s worldwide position as a leading distribution and supply chain solutions provider, climbing the worldwide ranks up to the top 5 players.
The enlarged group is led by Roberto Scaramella and the leadership team members are professionals with extensive experience in the industry. The national units will be led by Graham Capell for the UK, Pascal Lefèvre for France and Robert Paden for the US.
Graham joins ALA from Wesco Aircraft, where he held senior positions in sales, procurement and general management.
Pascal joins ALA from Pattonair and B/E Aerospace (now KLX Inc.), where he held senior positions in sales, business development and procurement.
Robert joins ALA from Esterline, B/E Aerospace, Honeywell and at Fairchild Fasteners, where he held senior positions in sales, marketing and general management.
A new crucial hire is represented by Marcello Bruni, Global Chief of External Relations Officer, joining ALA after significant experience in Boeing and Lockheed Martin.

13 Jul 16. Barnbrook has sights set on Airshow. A multi-award-winning Fareham company is setting its sight on its most successful Farnborough International Airshow so far.
Barnbrook Systems Ltd showcased and launched innovative new products when it attends the iconic event for the 11th consecutive time from Monday July 11 to Friday July 15.
Family firm Barnbrook Systems were based in a prominent position on stand B120 in exhibition hall one with the Farnborough Aerospace Consortium (FAC) during the week.
Managing director Tony Barnett met PM David Cameron on the opening day of the last airshow in 2014.
Andrew Barnett, chief technology officer at Barnbrook Systems, said: “Farnborough International Airshow is the most important event in our business calendar in 2016.
“We will be showcasing our innovative products, market leading services and full system capabilities during the week.
“These include our pioneering inflight refuelling technology, aerospace contactors and engine controls.
“Our award winning BlueCube remote condition monitoring technology and its newly upgraded wi-fi enabled sensors will also be on display.”
