08 May 25. SAE Media Group Announces Agenda for Counter UAS Middle East & Africa 2025 in Partnership with JODDB.

SAE Media Group, in strategic partnership with the Jordan Design and Development Bureau (JODDB) have unveiled the official agenda for the inaugural Counter UAS Middle East & Africa 2025, set for June 30 – July 1, 2025, in Amman, bringing together key regional and international stakeholders to address escalating drone threats and emerging defense solutions.

This landmark conference will be the first in the region dedicated exclusively to counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS), reflecting the growing urgency around drone threats and defense strategies across the Middle East and Africa.

Designed to bring together senior government officials, military leaders, defense industry experts, and cutting-edge technology providers, the conference will focus on:

  • The evolving threat landscape from hostile UAS in regional conflict zones
  • Critical infrastructure and border protection
  • Innovations in detection, mitigation, and neutralization technologies

07 May 25. On 9-10 July 2025 Team Defence Information and Defence Digital come together to produce the Defence Information Conference, taking place at the ACC, Thornbury, Bristol. Join us at DI25 to hear, learn, discuss and debate the themes that will create the Integrated Force.  The Ministry of Defence are experiencing the biggest change in Defence for 50 years. With major changes coming with the anticipated publication of the Strategic Defence Review and Defence Industrial Strategy and MOD’s new ways of working from Defence Reform; how does Team Defence respond? In addition, the need to keep ahead of the relentless technological advances, increase influence with Allies and increase thought leadership.  Up to 30 key figures will be participating from the Ministry of Defence, Academia and Defence Industry as speakers, panel chairs and workshop leads, all will be confirmed over the next few weeks.  The Exhibition and Network Extra provide opportunities to network with fellow delegates, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors. 30 Apr 25. The countdown to DEFEA–Defence Exhibition Athens 2025 has commenced. DEFEA 2025 will host 436 exhibitors from 37 nations, 18 national pavilions, and 98 official delegations from 45 countries, reinforcing its role as a pivotal hub for the global defence industry. The preeminent international defence and security exhibition is scheduled for 6–8 May 2025 at the Metropolitan Expo in Athens, under the patronage of the Hellenic Ministry of National Defence. As the EU prepares to allocate substantial resources to rearm its member states and enhance collective defence, global leaders from the defence sector will gather in Athens to present cutting-edge innovations and technological advancements in defence and security, spanning land, sea, air, cyberspace, and space domains. To address the evolving security landscape, the EU must significantly increase its defence expenditures, revitalise its defence industry, and establish strategic resilience. These imperatives will be central to DEFEA, which will feature senior officials from the EU and NATO, alongside representatives from organizations such as DG DEFIS, EDA, EDF, EDIDP, OCCAR, NSPA, DIANA, and HCDI, the Greek initiative to foster an innovative defence ecosystem. DEFEA 2025 will unveil elements of Greece’ s new air defence network, the ‘Shield of Achilles’, a sophisticated, five-layered defence framework that will set a new standard for modern defence. The exhibition will also showcase advanced missile systems and a comprehensive array of precision-guided munitions critical to contemporary warfare. Autonomous systems (UAVs, USVs, UUVs) and counter-drone technologies, capable of neutralising both individual and swarm threats, will be prominently displayed. Additionally, the event will feature helicopters, main battle tanks, armoured vehicles, multiple launch rocket systems, artillery, communication systems, small arms, diverse ammunition types and calibres, guided missiles, strategic weaponry, and a range of other advanced, innovative systems.
