19 Jun 09. Saab wins Double Eagle Mk 1 upgrade contract. Saab Underwater Systems has received a contract from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration for the upgrade of five Double Eagle Mk 1 remote control mine disposal vehicles to Double Eagle Mk II standard. In addition to the vehicles, which will be operated from the Royal Swedish Navy’s five upgraded Koster-class minehunters, the contract comprises training and ship modifications, and includes options for in-service support.
