UNMANNED SYSTEMS UPDATE
01 Jul 08. AeroVironment, Inc., has been awarded a Not to Exceed $200,000,000.00, one year (four option year periods), indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract for all environment capable variant small unmanned aircraft systems in support of the U.S. Special Operations Command Program Executive Office – Fixed Wing. The work will be performed in Simi Valley, Calif., and is for one year from date of contract award. This contract was awarded through full and open competition. This contract number is H92222-08-D-0048.
02 Jul 08. General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. has completed delivery of the Systems Development and Demonstration (SDD) Lynx® II radars to the U.S. Army. GA-ASI was contracted to develop the synthetic aperture radar with ground moving target indicator (SAR/GMTI) for the Army’s Extended Range/Multi-Purpose (ER/MP) UAS Program. This delivery marks one of the final steps in completing the contract which ends in June 2008.
30 Jun 08. Raytheon Co. received an $11.5m Air Force contract to provide logistics support for multi-sensor targeting systems for two kinds of unmanned aerial vehicles. Raytheon will provide spares and repairs, software maintenance, among other services for the MQ-1 Predator and the MQ-9 Reaper inside and outside the U.S. (Source: Google)
