UNIQUE NIGHT DRIVING EXPERIENCE

The Owning The Night Exhibition will provide a World First for demonstrating night driving equipment.

Managed by Hobson Industries, the Lincolnshire, UK Land Rover specialist support by Praetorian, the U.K. training Company, Owning The Night will provide two evenings of driving round a dedicated track at Bisley.

It will be a world first not only for demonstrating Driver Vison Enhancers (DVEs)supplied by DRS RSTA, FLIR Systems Inc., Thales and Selex Galileo.

Vehicles on display on the Hobson Stand include:

*Land Rover 110 Wolf – Fully Recuperated/Asset Managed, displayed at DVD under the banner of The Green Machine, fitted with Wireless IR Lighting
*Land Rover 110 Wolf – Fully Recuperated/Asset Managed, fitted with Wireless IR Lighting
*Land Rover 90 Wolf with Trailer – Fully Recuperated/Asset Managed, fitted with Wireless IR Lighting, fitted with the Nimbus System
*Land Rover 110 Wolf – MoD Registered – Fully Recuperated/Asset Managed, fitted with Wireless IR Lighting
* Hobson Ranger Armoured Vehicle fitted with DRS DVE

Hobson Industries Ltd, the Lincolnshire based specialist engineering company, offers a complete One-Stop Shop from cradle to grave to support Government and Military light vehicle fleets during their operational life and then through to their End of Life. The company provides Through Life Support solutions with Armouring, Engineering, Logistic, Asset Management, and Vehicle build and Homologation workshops. In-house ballistic test facility provides ballistic/blast protection solutions complemented with full technical support and in-house CAD/CAM design function.

Oxley Developments Co. Ltd and Hobson Industries Ltd. Have chosen Owning The Night to launch their unique IR driving system. On display at the driving area are a variety of incandescent bulb replacement technologies that are widely in use on special purpose and military vehicles across the world. They include:
LED front and rear IR lights which enable safe and secure covert, convoy operations.
Sophisticated LED interior lights which come in a variety of colours, black out mode and back up supply, to deliver appropriate levels of lighting in any military scenario.
And, the latest fit and forget developments in robust LED dual mode visible and infra-red position and brake lights.

Visitors will have the opportunity to experience the IR lighting system olive on the driving area.

Other vehicles on display and in the night driving demonstration include:
*A NAVISTAR Defense Husky fitted with a DRS DVE
* A BAE Panther fitted with a Selex system
* An FV432 with a Selex night driving periscope
* A Thales Bushmaster fitted with Thales night vision equipment
* A Supacat Jackal with an IR driving system.
* A FLIR HMMV with a DVE and an EO/IR Mast
IndiComm

IndiComm has developed a networked system which will display images of the night driving to a central screen. IndiComm’s remit with Hobson Industries was to show the IR lighting system that has been developed by Oxley Developments and Hobson Industries. This technology has been fitted to the Hobson Landover’s which they are supplying for the driving event at OTN; IndiComm have put together a bespoke system to help highlight the need for strategic awareness in the Battlefield at the forward area. Using an imaging company (Panoptics) to supply the latest in IR cameras linked to short range radio transmitters.
