We apologise to the Members of the Opposition for saying that they did not attend the Farnborough Air Show (See: BATTLESPACE FARNBOROUGH NEWS Vol. 7 Issue 2, 21 July 2008, FARNBOROUGH OPENS WITH SIGNS OF A DOWNTURN PART 2). We understand from Julian Hellebrand at Cobham that David Cameron and Liam Fox had lunch with the SBAC on Monday and that Allan Cook was encouraged by the level of interest and keen questioning. Could we suggest to the Opposition that they engage more with Voters and the Press alike with a comprehensive aerospace and defence policy to parry the current Government negativity on defence and aerospace issues? Wing Commander J Cowell, ASTOR Requirements Manager: “….so we are about three years late but….it’s not too bad”. (Farnborough briefing, 14 Jul 08.)
