The size of Ukraine’s Territorial Defence Forces is estimated to be 10,000 military professionals supplemented by 130,000 reservists. Since Russia’s invasion, Ukraine has sought to expand these forces to include 1.5 – 2 m citizens.
The Territorial Defence Forces are distributed around each of Ukraine’s regions and in Kyiv. Some units may have worked with the Azov Battalion in and around the Mariupol region to recruit and train volunteers.

While the Ballistic Missile Defence Programme remains in the Assessment Phase we are unable to confirm specific locations of the Radar or Command and Battle Management and Communications equipment. On successful completion of the Assessment Phase, the expected method of funding is from the Air Command equipment budget and further provision in the wider MOD 10-year Equipment Plan.

The MOD continually reviews its weapons and munitions stocks to ensure it can meet its commitments, including to Ukraine, whilst maintaining sufficient stocks for the UK Armed Forces.
Delivery schedules for weapons are continually reviewed, including with defence manufacturers, and subject to adjustment in accordance with evolving Defence requirements. Ministers and senior officials are in frequent contact with key suppliers.
