14 Jun 11. TruePosition, Inc., a leading provider of wireless location technologies and solutions and a subsidiary of Liberty Media Corporation, today announced Release 4.0 the TruePosition Location Intelligence Management System (LIMS). TruePosition LIMS a multi-dimensional database, which uses probes within mobile networks to capture and store all mobile phone network events – including the time and the location of events. Mobile phone events are items like calls made and received, text messages sent and received, a phone powered on and off, and other rich mobile phone intelligence. TruePosition LIMS provides a user interface for data mining and analysis of mobile phone intelligence, real-time tracking and surveillance, and geofencing capabilities. Mobile phones are at the core of almost every crime or act of terrorism. As a result, it is becoming increasingly more important for government agencies to leverage mobile phone intelligence in order to fight crime, counter terror, and keep citizens safe. TruePosition LIMS enables government agencies to do just that. TruePosition LIMS gathers mobile phone intelligence from wireless networks for both historical analysis and real-time surveillance. This data enables users to query and analyze historical data, identify mobile phones of interest, and build intricate geoprofiles of criminals and terrorists. TruePosition LIMS also enables geofencing of sensitive areas – such as borders, critical infrastructure, or special events – and can be customized with user-specified alerts to make government agencies aware of unusual or suspicious behavior. TruePosition LIMS is the intelligence component of TruePosition® LOCINT® (short for “location intelligence”). TruePosition LIMS is combined with the TruePosition® Location Platform™ (TPLP) to create a powerful new way gather intelligence about communication within criminal networks and terrorist cells. At the core of the TPLP is a location technology called TruePosition Uplink Time Difference of Arrival (U-TDOA). TruePosition U-TDOA is uniquely suited for mission-critical location-based security applications, since it can locate any phone in any environment with high accuracy and reliability.
“With several new product enhancements, TruePosition LIMS remains the best system available for gathering, storing, and analyzing mobile phone intelligence – including high-accuracy location data,” affirmed Rob Anderson, Executive Vice President of Technology and Engineering at TruePosition. “Coupling TruePosition LIMS with the TPLP delivers unprecedented capabilities of mobile phone intelligence and further demonstrates TruePosition’s leadership in the location-based security market.”
